Hey,

Was just reading through the newspaper and saw an advert for an
Oasis gig called "SNOasis" on Saturday 9 March at a ski resort
called Great Gorge in Vernon NJ, about an hour by car west of New
York City.

Scheduled to play are:

Oasis
Garbage
Seven Mary Three
Stabbing Westward

It's sponsored by an NYC hit radio station, Z100 WHTZ FM, and
the Metropolitan Entertainment Group, a local promoter. Tickets
are US$36, with profits to benefit something called the Kristen
Ann Carr Fund. They're good for the bands, lift tickets, and free
parking, as well as some snowboarding competition.

This is the first I've heard of it, so I don't know when
tickets are going on sale or if there are even any left. But the
advert lists a phone number, +1 212 239 2300 to call for more
info, as well as a Web address for the dreaded TicketMisers at:

http://www.ticketmaster.com

People who phone to charge tickets will be hit with the usual
service fee. And it says at the bottom in fine print, "date, time
and bands subject to change. Non-refundable. Rain, sleet, snow
or shine." The whole thing sounds a bit dodgy, but I thought I'd
pass it on in case anyone missed buying one of the 13 March
tickets for the Paramount Theatre in NYC.

The official Oasis home page says they'll be in philidelphia on that
day. Hmm. I wonder if they'll pull off two gigs.

that's what I thought too, but Noel is the only one going. i suppose
he'll be playing an acoustic set, which is an oasis gig in my book
anyday. Vernon Valley Great Gorge is a few hours away from Philly, and
SNOasis is in the daytime. that's how they can be "in two places at once."
