Worst oasis song? By FAR "She's Electric"!!! With all of the great
b-sides, why did Noel stick that crappy song on WTSMG?

Not that I could write a better song.

This is ludicrous. I mean, I'm not going to flame this guy or anything;
everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as I hope I am. I just think
that this is *one* of Oasis' better songs, that's all. I'm sure someone
will probably share their thoughts with my idea of the worst Oasis song,
as well! I think that the absolute worst Oasis song (that I've
heard--there are a *few* singles I haven't picked up yet) would be
either Headshrinker or Up In the Sky (yes, I know I'm the only one who
hates it). Those are the only Oasis songs that I can think of that I
really HATE. Anyone else?

.Sean.

The worst song ever by Oasis is "Alive" .... I think it's terrible.....it
doesn't even sound like their type of music.

Just how much of a fan are you? Seriously, the ONLY Oasis song I'm not
incredibly fond of is Cum on Feel the Noize. It's good, but I still hear
Twisted Sister's version in the back of my mind and it ruiens it.

If She's Electric is so great and Up In the Sky/Headshrinker aren't, then
why did they never play She's Electric in concerts but they did play the
other two? Looks like Noel and the gang see things my way.

Incidentally, I love Up in the Sky and Headshrinker (especially
Headshrinker). I still stand by my original statement that they should have
taken She's Electric off WTSMG and put something else on.

Headshrinker, I Will Believe, Alive, D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?

These aren't TERRIBLE, they just aren't up to my standards of great
Oasis songs. Everything else is PURE GOLD!

Cheers!

I didnt think Twisted Sister did that song. I thought the only poeple who ever
performed it was Slade(the originals) and Quiet Riot.

but i could see how you could confuse quiet riots version to thinking it was
twisted sister.

Wrong. Its cos of the line 'because i want you to know' that is nearly
impossible for liam to hit live... he cant even sing 'well....' in 'morning
glory' also, the song is probably gonna sound like shit all fuzzed up.
conisdering its a light song. The song is not played live because of those
reasons, not because its a bad song, Noel and the boys do not see things 'your
way'... how many times was headshrinker played live? less than 10 im sure.

There have been other Oasis songs that had notes ~Liam couldn’t hit, so he
sang them differently. For example, “Up In The Sky’s” “myyyyyyy world”
forced Liam to sing it lower. I could see Liam sneering it in concert, if
he WANTED to.

In no way is "Headshrinker" better than "(I Got) The Fever", "Stay
Young", "Going Nowhere", "Flashbax" or even "My Sister Lover". I can't
really find a tune in "Headshrinker". I never play it. As for a person
saying they skip over "Magic Pie" on BHN, that song is one of the best!
And about "Up In The Sky", I'd say it's just okay at best. I liked it a
lot at first listen, but it's more of a novelty song to me.

Cheers!

I used to HATE "She's Electric." Then, for some reason, it started to
grow on me, and now I like it. Go figure.

Anyway, I heard somewhere that "She's Electric" is supposed to make fun
of Blur. Can anyone explain this?

As for my least favorite, I don't really have any that I absolutely hate
(although I haven't heard many of the B-sides). There are a few that I
always skip over when I listen to the albums. I won't name them here
because I know I would be flamed. :)

I skip over "Be Here Now", for some reason I just don't like the song in the
album... It's weird because when I heard it live, I liked it.....

As for other songs, well, the one I like the least is "I will believe". Of
course, there are several b-sides I have not heard.

I know what you mean. I was making fun of the lyrics to 'Digsy's Diner', but
now I find the more I listen to the song, the damn thing is starting to grow
on me.

A guy said that She's Electric is the worst Oasis song. Someone else
disagreed. The ">" are those of that someone else.

>This is ludicrous. I mean, I'm not going to flame this guy or anything;

Well, it's the worst song I've heard. I haven't heard many B-sides, so I'm
basing this opinion on album tracks.

>everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as I hope I am.

Good point.

>I just think that this is *one* of Oasis' better songs, that's all.

Now, THIS is ludicrous. But, you're entitled to your own opinion. :-)

>I'm sure someone will probably share their thoughts with my idea of the

(that I've heard...Up In the Sky (yes, I -->know I'm the only one who hates
it
"Up In The Sky" ain't all that good. It's not bad, though. Neither is
"She's Electric". But I think Up In The Sky just edges out "She's
Electric". I've always found that continuous riff to get quite annoying
sometimes, but She's Electric, is, well, boring. (except for the end. I
like the end - "Can I be electric too?...")

At the bottom end of Oasis' songs (from albums), I'd list:

She's Electric
Up In The Sky
Roll With It
Hey Now
Cast No Shadow (Please don't flame me too much for including this one.
Although it has a nice melody, I just get bored as hell listening to it and
the repeating lyrics and Noel's annoying "Ahh..."'s don't help.)

Those are really the only songs I have problems with.

Be Here Now is a good song. It is just one of the examples of the overdoing
of Be Here Now (the album). The first couple minutes are good, but then the
same thing over and over and over gets, well, boring sometimes (only
sometimes).

It sounds a lot better to me after I fiddle around with the stereo's
equalizer a bit.

Hmm. I love Columbia. A bit too long, but what the hell.
I have all the albums and the SBM and AATW singles, and I say the crappiest
I've heard are:

Street Fighting Man
(Now this is pure shit. Why would Oasis possibly want to do a cover of such
garbage? It barely passes for music.)

She's Electric ain't all that good either.

The only B-Sides I've heard are from SBM and AATW, and I thought some were
pretty good. Going Nowhere was boring as hell though (How'd it manage to
get on the bside album?), and Street Fighting Man was crappy as hell.

I'm sorry to repeat this again, but the b-sides from STB and AATW are
the best! SBM has the strongest lineup, because it's consistently good.
As for The girl in the dirty shirt, that song's great! So's the rest you

Cheers!
