Could anyone tell me who is Digsy?
Digsy appears on "Digsy's Dinner" and in "Be Here Now" "....your shit
jokes remind me of Digsy's", and I don't know who is.

hey pal,
what these guys try to make you believe is...wrong!
-digsy is a liverpudlian... one of noel & liam's mates;
they wanted his name to be "live forever", that's why
it's mentioned in the songs!

I can also confirm after reading the biography by Paul Gallagher (n + l's
brother) that Digsy was one of their mates. I did though think me was
MACUNIAN not LIVERPUDLIAN. Oh well

He was one of their mates from before they were famous.
He is lead singer of the band smaller.
At least he was when I saw them a few years back, they may well have split
up.
He is a scouser.
Surely everyone knows this?

david.

Dear anybody who cares,

Digsy is a scouser who made friends with the band in the early days and
was in a band called Smaller who played some gigs with Oasis in the early
nineties. As far as I know he's still good friends with the band. Any other
questions ? drop me a line.

Yeah, I have a question, Why is the title of track nine on def. maybe
"Digsy's Diner" on my cd, but everywhere else, including live shows,
it's called "Digsy's Dinner"?

Noel mentioned in some interview that when printing the cover, for some reason, the
American DM albums all ended up reading "Diner," whereas UK (and, presumably, every
other country's) say "Dinner."

It's just a typo...one that has, undoubtedly, provided Noel & co. with many laughs at
the expense of us "silly Yanks" referring to a song called "Digsy's Diner."
