Well, just got a copy of Halo 00 from the man himself, mike roston, and well,
listening to supernaut, i've come to the conclusion that the same person is
doing vox on both versions (halo 00 version and the one on 1000 homo dj's ep,
supernaut)... they sound exatcly the same... Exactly. I think that trent's
still on vocals.. try it somebody, listen to halo 00, then 1000 homo djs, then
halo 00 again, then 1000 homo djs again. I swear they're the same guy, namely,
Trent... What's up with that? I think the liner notes are the way they are to
evade persecution by tvt... they sound very much the same. i'm confused.
latre..?!

Well, I hate to break it to you, but the version of "Supernaut" on the
1,000 Homo DJ's album is Trent on vocals. What happened was when TVT had
a fit over Trent doing the vocals, Al and Paul went back into the studio
and distorted his voice so that it could pass as having rerecorded
vocals. Apparently TVT bought it, because it's on there to this day.

Listen *really* closely and you can tell that it's Trent. He does sound
similar to Al in the song, but it definitely is Trent on vocals.

ps Can't wait for the Wax Trax Box Set to hear the unremixed version...

That version is NOT Trent Reznor on vocals. To get the version Trent actually
singing, get NiN: Demos and Remixes. Track 7 is the original version that TVT
had a shitfit about.

No, not really. A friend of mine knows Al and Paul, and interviewed Al
on Ministry's "Mind" tour. It was at that time that the subject of
Supernaut came up. She said that when TVT said they had to recut the
vocals, Al went into the studio, doctored the vocals and then gave it
back to TVT. They didn't notice, and 1KDJ's version is Trent on vocals.
Also, she has the original Wax Trax sampler that Supernaut with Trent
appeared on. It's pretty obvious after a listen to that (according to
her) that it's Trent.

Hm. It seems just like yesterday when I posted trying to convince Jason over
here that it was Al on the 1KDj's version, and now, we have possible evidence
that it is indeed still Ike Krull ;-)...

I don't know if it really matters, though--it's still a neat track...

Ah well...

I have to agree that it is Trent on Halo 00. I've heard the Halo 00 version,
and I've seen Ministry do super-naut, and Halo 00 is definitely trent.

Of course it's Trent on Halo 00. That's the whole purpose of the
bootleg. When TVT banned it, it would eventually get out somehow. What
I am saying is that the version of Supernaut on the album/ep/single thing
"Supernaut" by 1,000 Homo DJ's is Trent Reznor on vocals. That's all.

Still pissed about tickets...
