I know they played this live on 10/3/95 with Bowie but on all of the boots from
'95 with Bowie this was not on it.

Closer To God was not played live at the show Children Of The Night
came from. That show has the original version of Closer.

I saw this song played live in Chicago during the Bowie/NIN tour.
Rather amused me when I heard people saying stuff like "Man, they are
really fucking up this song, sounds nothing like the album."

yet another reason i hate bootlegs is the fact that you get to hear dumbfucks

Yep. At the NIN/Bowie show in Columbus, Ohio at Polaris Amphitheater. :-)

I believe there are some boots with this on it, but not from this
particular show. Remember that the song could be mislabled as "Closer" by
the bootlegger, since many know nothing about the music itself.

well, i have heard one in which a couple of annoying sorority type girls
were annoyingly singing along with "i want to fuck you like an animal"
and nothing else at the entire damn concert. i couldn't listen to closer
on that one even though i liked the rest of it. (before you ask, i don't
have it anymore, i loaned it away and never got it back. it was from the
bowie tour in i think hershey, pa)

i have to agree with sir starkypoo on this one. i'm the not-so-proud
owner of almost 50 bootlegs. i've been to 5 shows from 3 different tours
and NOT ONCE did i ever hear that....
*shrug* only my personal experience.

i thought it was on terrible live lie... i'll admit i overgeneralized more than i
wanted to in my previous statement; the point i was really trying to make was that
poor sound quality and less than perfect music are some of the reasons i don't like
bootlegs, and are reasons i am constantly amazed when they go for $100+ on ebay.

think this was on video somewhere). pittsburgh (technically,
burgettstown, pa). i was at that show.
