I've spent the last 25 years listening to New Order/Joy Division and I
knew this day would come, but it still sucks...

Hey Bundo.

Yep, can't wait for the new Editors album .. any day now, right ?
Interpol as well. Also, out tomorrow, Martin Hannett's Personal Mixes
by Joy Division ! They've found some old tapes Martin made during
recording sessions with Joy Division and it's being released tomorrow.
That's one I'll have to buy asap.

I love New Order...but it's clear Barney runs the show. Hook is an emotional
guy...a great guy...I met him at the Monaco show in Toronto in 1997 while I
was having a hot dog and a beer on the patio of a club they were playing
called the Guverment. It was a bizarre show that started at 6pm on a
Saturday due to Caribana (a Caribbean celebration we have here every
summer). He just came out and thanked us all for coming to the show. In my
opinion, Hook is as (if not more) important to New Order than Barney. His
staple bassline is emulated (or at least tried to) by almost every modern
band out there these days.

I think they are done for good.

New Order R.I.P.

P.S. - Didn't Ian die around this date 27 years ago? ;-)

Nice timing.
