: How big of an influence is Mike Patton on (you) Brandon?

Brandon: Very big. Faith No More was like one of my favorite bands. I think
they were one of the coolest rock bands that ever were. They were a big
influence on our whole band actually. Them and Mr. Bungle. And from the first
Mr. Bungle record, I kinda got into John Zorn projects and stuff like that. And
some fun, weird jazz shit from there.

Just thought I'd post this.

You forgot about this part...

Brandon: Then after listening to Faith No More and Bungle, and trying to
copy Mike Patton's sound, we decided to REALLY sell out and write gay
love songs to get airplay.

Actually, I really like all Incubus CDs, even Make Yourself. But I do not
like Incubus live. They put on one of the most boring shows I've ever
seen. Thank god Mr. Bungle and System of a Down were playing the same show
or I would have wanted my money back.

Am I the only one who doesn't like SOAD? I liked War? and a couple others,
but...meh. I liked Incubus live at Ozzfest, which kinda sucked otherwise.
Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age..Kittie is possibly the worst live band
ever...Plus, my cousin just saw them at Area:One (their probably his
favorite band ever) and they started the intro to Redefine, ith Brandon
busting out the didjeridu, and Mike making guitr noise, and Jose playing
cymbals and all...And then they played I Miss You. Funny shit.

You knew of Tim in '95? Was he a popular local musician?

Not until I saw him after the Bungle show. I don't know of any band
he was in or if he was even local at the time. I had no idea who he
was. I just remembered him because he made a bit of a spectacle of
himself.

I think it means...I have no clure what the fuck it means, but whatever.
I'm eagerly awaiting "When Incubus Attacks Vol. 2" cuz it'll be a
DVD...Hooray! At lest I think so. And then at least a Bungle-influenced
(and really good) band will have a DVD if we can't have a Bungle DVD.
Actually, in the liner notes to the rerelease of Fungus Amongus, Brandon
says "We basically tried to see if we could be Mr. Bungle, Primus" ad then
