How do you convert .wav to .mp3?
And what is the best software to convert tape/vinyl to .mp3?

you just need software such as itunes, which has a converter which can
be used to convert to mp3. I think you have to set it in the options
to do so at first. there are probably loads of converters though, just
google wav to mp3.

I don't do any direct recording nowadays so can't really recommend
software for that, though I think audacity is free

Houdy To convert Wav to Mp3. Go to www.formatoz.com/ This Program is
Free it will Change Pics Videos Music to anything you want. I have been
using for a year now. As the name says FormatFactory version 2.15 just cum
out. Tape to vinal did a year bak forgot wat i useed , I think there is a
music player that does it I willl DO my home worl and look for ya IF you
not find. Ps there are some New Record Players that have a USB port
that will plug into Computer the rest i am a bit vague. Hope i helped you.

This is a nice little free program you can use to record to wave or directly
to MP3. If you are recording vinyl you will still need a turntable with a
built in preamp or a separate preamp to boost the audio signal for your PC
mic input. This program will not cleanup any noise like audacity can.

I use this program for recording live from a radio or off the net.
