I wonder if anyone can help me, after I have been using WinMX I find
between 10-20 files of album art in my shared folder not always of songs I
have downloaded, I delete these every time but they always come back.
Does anyone know why this happens?
Regards Halo

These pics are automatically downloaded by the Windows Media Player when
listening to a music file.
Check your WMP settings to avoid this, or simply block WMP with your
firewall.

Yeah, Halo / alberon26. It's artwork of songs you *haven't* downloaded -
yet - but WinMX *thinks* you're going to download soon, so you must have the
"Download Artwork For Songs I Haven't Downloaded" function ON in
preferences. To switch it off, just switch it off.

That's right. WinMX is wise to all these "deleting" tricks, and stops you
from deleting stuff, just in case you don't really mean to.

I guess the WinMX programmers like feeling like God, which is illegal, or
something.

Great. Is that the 'beauty' mud that coffin-dodgers smear on their faces, or
the really shitey stuff?

No silly, the stuff you buy from Boots slap it on face remove after 10
mins and hey presto all wrinkles and blemishes are gone and you look 20
years younger, well it must be true it says so on the packet.

Now back to WinMX!
