Hello,

I am working on a program that detects skips in spoofed MP3's. It takes
just a couple of seconds to check an MP3 and will list however many skips
it detects (in many spoofed mp3 cases, several thousand skips will be
detected). Then you have an option to fix the MP3. Now it won't
magically make the MP3 whole as there's no way of doing that. But it will
fill in the skips with 0's, so when you play the MP3 and it would normally
run into a skip, instead of playing the annoying noise that sounds like
it's going to blow your speakers, it will just skip to the next part of
the song that it can play. Now the main purpose of the program is to
detect skips in an MP3 so you don't have to listen to it all the way
through and waste your time trying to see if it's valid or not. The
software still has features that will be added but I need some volunteers
for beta testing. I will probably sell this software when I release it
but it depends on what mood I'm in (I may just release it as freeware).
Either way, I will be giving it for free to the beta testers I choose in
its current state. So if you would like to demo the program for me,
please email to...

Thank you.

Wow! Thousands! That's a lot!

No! Really?! Damn!

Gosh - this is *so* impressive, 'andyyy'! One minute you have an MP3 full of
clicks; the next it's .... erm .... jumping suddenly from one bit to the
next, and .... sounding .... erm .... better .... hold on a minute .... er
......

So - what you're saying is that "the main purpose of the program is to

detect skips in an MP3 so you don't have to listen to it all the way through
and waste your time trying to see if it's valid or not."? OK. Gotcha.

Yes. I imagine so.

Step right up! Step right up! Change those clicky MP3's to MP3's that
replace the "thousands" of clicks to silence! Hear a 4-minute song in only 8
seconds! An entire album in 3 minutes!

'andyyy' - does the term "flogging a dead horse" mean anything to you? Or
what about the concept of simply re-downloading damaged MP3's using
something other than crap like Kazaa? Hello?!

Wow hammerer, how creative was that. I've a damaged CD and I'm looking all over the web and there is not a single utility that can do that.

Guess what? The CD cannot be downloaded from the web, it's from a custom band.

So definitely andyyy has an edge here. We is working on something that can fix mp3's. That is useful for a lot of people, except for you, so keep the opinion to yourself.
