Just saw them Saturday night at the Horseshoe Casino,
Indiana. Horrible surrounding area, but they threw a
typically excellent performance. Opened with my fav
from the 80's - The Voice and ended with the obligatory
Question and Ride My See Saw. Haven't been much for going
to their concerts lately since their set list usually
doesn't vary and the music(especially the bass) is too
frickin' LOUD, but... they toned it down right after the
first song AND surprised me with a few songs I've never
seen them play live in 20 years:

Peak Hour (so cool they played that and it sounded great!!)
Gypsy
The Day We Meet Again
Driftwood

...Justin even mentioned they were taking a closer look
at the Octave album lately. As soon as he mentioned that,
I was hoping they were going to play 'Top Rank Suite' (yeah
right - unless Bliss could come up with some fancy horn
sequencing) or 'I'll Be Level With You', but went with one
of the slower tunes. Don't get me wrong, I love Driftwood :-)

Justin and the rest of the band sounded excellent throughout
the entire concert though. They're better than ever these days.

And guys, if you're listening - how about SACD versions of the
rest of your albums (Octave+)!! Uncompressed 2-channel versions
is all I ask for. I've got ALL the original 1st pressings on LP
(and they DO sound superior than the compressed 2-channel SACD
versions), but I love the packaging, extra goodies and convenience
of the SACD format. Oh and would it be too much to ask for a NEW
album too? :-)

I saw the Moody Blues last night and was blown away!! I never expected
the show to be that great! We were so impressed and the sold out
amphitheatre
was rocking and everyone stayed to the very end.. I hadn't seen them
since the
60's and they were just as great as when they were young. The sound
was
excellent,,,couldn't have been any better! I'll go to see them every
year now..
