Since everyone here is talking about Micky's acting credits I thought I'd not
so slyly sneak in a question regarding his directing credits.

What I'm wondering is are there any copies of the British series "From the Top"
starring Bill Oddie which Micky directed floating about anywhere? I'd love to
be able to see a Monkee directing a Goodie!

Any help would be appreciated! : )

Hi Linda,

This is lisa from goodies-l - I didn't know you were a Monkees fan as
well as a Goodies fan! Unfortunately, I can't help you with getting
copies of "From the Top" (I'd love to see it myself). I am curious to
see if there are any other Goodies fans reading the newsgroup beside us.

Did you know that the Monkees are mentioned on the back of the Goodies
first album, as well as in their first book ("The Goodies File")?

I posted a while ago mentioning the Goodies and several fans here seemed to
remember them! : ) So apparently we're not the only two crossover fans here!

I remember them mentioned in The Goodies file, and uh . . . yeah you're right!
They *are* mentioned on the back of the first album! Good spotting! : )

I also note they mention the show Metal Mickey in the last season of the show!

yeah! I don't read the newsgroup too often so I must have missed your
earlier post

For those of you who don't have access to the album, I should explain
the reference (since I think it's funny). Each of the Goodies has
written a little comment after each song title. Next to "The Goodies
Theme" one of them (Tim, I think) has written "Preferred the Monkees
version". ;)

Yep, near the end of "Robot". The Goodies (especially Bill)
occasionally mention the Monkees show as being an influence when they
were creating their own series ("The Goodies" went on the air in 1970).

Yep - I'm another Monkees and Goodies fan - What's wrong with us. Is it
genetic?

Is there something wrong with *us*? I just thought there was something wrong
with people who don't like The Monkees and The Goodies! ; )
