I have seen the film a few times and have it on tape,
but I didn't know this.

As I recall, he died young (suicide?)... strange that he was being touted as
the next James Dean right before.

IIRC, Christopher Jones actually sang the lead on the hit from the film
"Shape Of Things To Come" (when I saw Dave Allen & The Arrows a few
years ago, they opened the show with this song-I believe that they
played on the soundtrack)
