It has come to my attention that Florida fans of Peter Tork have been
deprived of the opportunity to see Peter perform live in our state with his
band Shoe Suede Blues almost since its (the band's, not the state's)
inception. I have also noticed that Mr Tork has quite a huge following in
the Tampa bay area.
I am sure that anyone from the Tampa bay area is familiar with "Skipper's
Smokehouse," a venue that bills itself as the "best blues club in America."
For anyone unfamiliar with Skippers, follow this link: Skippers.
This venue is exactly the venue that would welcome a performance band like
the SSB, and its fans. It is outdoor seating, canopied by huge oaks that
create an umbrella against the frequent summer storms that grace the Tampa
area. Patrons can order anything from grouper to gator, treat themselves to
a beer or two, and get up and dance like lightening, all in an intimate
atmosphere in the warm tropical breezes under the stars.
If you want to see Peter and the SSB perform here in Paradise, we need to
let his Agent know. Please write (or find the email of):
Fantasma Productions Inc. of Florida
Steve Peck (Agent)
2000 S. Dixie Highway
Welt Palm Beach, Florida 3401-7714
(561) 832-6397 fax (561) 832-2043
Give him a call if nothing else. The point is, let him KNOW SSB has an
audience in the Tampa bay area. And check out the Skippers link. The place
is a DREAM spot to see SSB.
Sincerely,
Caroline

Nice idea, but there was no link to click on. :( You might wanna type
out the whole URL, starting with the http://www. and put the whole URL
in angle brackets -- the ones that look like this: < >
