Am I mistaken, or does mr Stuart Braithwaite have a picture of the lovely
Princess Leia stuck on his Fender?
what great taste he has.

aye, I've seen that a few times, although I don't think he has it
anymore. Didn't they used to request a colour picture of Princess Leia
on their rider ?!

>what great taste he has.

Heheh, I remember reading an article where Stuart said they requested a
colour picture of Nathalie Portman on their rider at each show,
explaining, "she's a bit older now, so it's ok"... thing is, if he were
to have his wicked way with miss Portman, he'd end up being Princess
Leia's father, which opens up all sorts of moral implications :)

Has anyone seen Episode One yet ?! I'm yet to see it, but hopefully I'll
go sometime next week.

I went this afternoon and I'll probably end up going this evening. After
reading all the negative reviews, I was impressed. A fun film. Far, far,
far better than "Return of the Jedi" as well.

Jar Jar Binks is fucking annoying though.

Despite the fact I haven't seen Episode One yet, I'm looking forward to
Episode Two the most... and I'm pretty sure I'll see Episode One next
weekend as well, and <joke recycling project> what with being a Mogwai
fan, I'm used to delayed gratification.

Oh of course, it's going to the one full of very dark shit, a la "The
Empire Strikes Back"...

Though can you handle Leonardo Di Caprio as Anakin Skywalker?

Thought not.

(I saw George Lucas on TV over the weekend talking about the above
malicious, vile, depraved and generally evil rumour and he said it was a
possibility...)

I did go and see Episode One twice in the same day as well.

grr, I heard that... thing is, whatever happens, its going to be some
Hollywood brat. I saw Jake Lloyd on a kids TV programme the other week
and they asked him who he thought should play Anakin in the new films,
he thought they should get Will Smith... urm.

hmm, surely not. I always thought he was into the idea of casting
relative unknowns. Maybe they should get... uh, you know. I really can't
think of anyone, ideas people ?!

>I did go and see Episode One twice in the same day as well.

grr, I'm not sure how much longer I can wait. I'll go this weekend,
definitely. Are they still doing 24 hour screenings !? I'd like to see
it in the middle of the night, somehow I think I'd be disappointed if I
came out of the cinema and it was still light outside :)

Well, he was originally, for his core cast anyway. I hardly think
Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, etc counted as "unknowns"
even before they were cast in Episode 1. I guess you can't really think
of any good "unknowns" to fill the part of Anakin because they are just
that, "unknown".

Erm. The latest they were doing it at my local cinema last weekend was
midnight. I don't think that was full, but even on Sunday at 9pm it was
still jammed. Mind you, I suspect there were one or two sad blokes like
myself who were there for at least the second time.

Yeah. Although, in that Omnibus Documentary he said that he still wanted
people who could blend in to a certain extent, explaining that 'your
average 12 year old kid won't have heard of any of them'. Anyway,
basically what I'm saying is I don't want Leo Dicaprio :) It's strange
because I don't even hate him that much, he's been good in a few films.
I just don't want him in Star Wars.

I was just thinking, It's a good thing Stuart had a Princess Leia
picture on his guitar, otherwise this would all be wildly off-topic :P

I'm into the Star Wars Lego the most... it rocks. but yeah, how cool
would it be to have a light sabre. Have you seen those dancing Jar Jar's
though ?! ugh, and do kids have no imagination these days ?! I never
wanted my figures to be able to speak or anything.

Ewan was fairly unknown when he was signed up - thats why his fee is
much smaller than you'd expect. he was signed before trainspotting made
him so huge, so.. liam neson obviously not unknown though.
