Does anyone know what model of Ibanez Iceman that Doyle used from '80-'87?

Thanks,
j. joseph

The Ibanez Iceman was Paul Stanley's signature model...back in the day, I
think they just had a top line w/square inlays and a lower line w/dot
inlays. I believe Doyle had the top line. Michale Graves has it now, I
think.

Thanks. I was on the Ibanez website (http://www.ibanez.com/classic/) and
saw the following models for the Iceman:

AR2000
AR250
DTX120
IC300
ICX120

Do you know if any of the above was the model used by Doyle during the 80's?

Thank you,
j. joseph

Perhaps it was a PS-10?

No, I do know that the model Doyle used has been out of production for
several years...what Ibanez puts out now is pure crap. I'll find the info...

I thought it was the IC300. That's the model I have and it looks exactly like
the one Doyle let Graves use for those Lost Boys shows 2 or 3 years back. I
could be wrong though now. My model is barely made anymore. Only person I know
that gets new models of the IC300 is Daron from System of a Down, and that
bastard gets them with Designs on them, unlike me and my plain black with
yellowish trim.

Atleast i dont got that ICX-200 bullshit of the "new" Iceman,

Aww man, that ICX-200 is fucking horrible! I think the IC300 was a reissue
of the PS10 because they weren't made for a very long time (until KI$$, whom
I used to dig, were back in fashion). Then Paul Stanley switched to Washburn
and Ibanez started putting that garbage out. Either way, emulating a
guitarist is bad, but emulating Doyle is just retarded.

Bah, I like my IC300. My sister got the ICX-200. THat is just terrible. It's
smaller and it barely resembles the model i have. I think the body is like half
assed and that it's just got the same pickups and that's about it.

I like me my Ibanez guitars,

no, I didn't mean the IC300. I meant just the ICX200. The body is awful.
It's a terrible guitar. It looks like it was made for midgits.

Who cares? Drop this fucking topic already. Doyle isn't even in the band
anymore. It has been answered, now move on. The only reason I said anything
about this post is because it has been going on and on talking about what
guitar the guy had, and who gives a fuck, seriously. Sorry.

1) I dont give a flying fuck what guitar anyone else plays. I like Ibanez.

2) I agree that after playing the ICX200 model, it was intended for midget
play.

I should get sponsored by Ibanez,

In style of playing, I piced up the little "weeoo-ww-bvmmmp" thing that he
does during live shows... you know, the slide-up-to-somewhere-n'-bend-a
note-before-going-to-the-next-chord thing. I thought it was pretty cool.
Doyle is a damn good guitar player.

We just a used Iceman Bass at work, it's going for about $250-ish.

It looks cheesy evil.

because somebody thinks doyle is a shitty guitarist doesn't mean they don't
like the misfits. listen to any live misfits performance before the tribute era
and you'll plainly see. he sucked. when he wasn't feeding back he was out of
tune and off.
listen to the post danzig era and you'll hear he's a failed metal guitarist.
i'm sur ehe's a great guy and he has the best devilock and all but seriously as
a guitar player he was not anything special.

Did anyone else read that book about the origin of Hardcore that i mentioned a
few months ago? There's a blurb Danzig says in it about how Doyle's hands were
too big or something for him to play well.

Maybe I'll post the entire quote when I get home,

Amen. I'm sorry, I take it all back. Doyle is a fabulous guitarist and Jerry
& Marky have full heads of hair.

Ah... Water under the bridge. Point seen. I love the "Bobby Steele's an
Asshole" version of "Where Eagles Dare" & they say Bobby sucks like 800
times while Doyle's guitar cuts out and shit for half the song. Really
though, Doyle is a great rhythm guitarist now, & he has his own style.
