The wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tubular_Bells mentions, in the
"Post-release bonus material" section, the following elements:
When the album is inserted into a computer, additional material from the website
is available, such as an interview with Mike Oldfield which was filmed on a
rainy day in the Bahamas in May 2009.[26] Since the creation of the releases
more material has been unearthed, such as another alternate version (second
take) of "Caveman"; these may be released on the website at a later date.

Now when I put either disc one or disc two in my PC nothing happens except
music. How about yours?
PS: the relevant section of the website:
http://info.pushentertainment.com/availability/?promotion=283&country=FR&language=fr
states:

Thanks for trying to access the microsite for Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield.
Unfortunately due to contractual restrictions, access to this promotion is not
available to residents of France.

Too bad.
What can other countries see there, please?

Accessing the French link you gave makes me see what you did, Albo.
Taking out the French stuff and cruising the site using my UK IP number
seems to be acceptable to them, but as I haven't got the disc yet it's
all a bit pointless.

You'll have to use a non-French proxy. Or migrate to some other country
that isn't France. Like Peru. Or even Mongolia. No offence.

Hi.

People say it's UK only.

But the interview is already on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFAsZeq8VUM

So there you can see a Man In The Rain.

No mention on Mike working on any Bahamian Rhapsody yet. Just digging
out the old demos and such things now.

It's quite a nice, relaxed clip.

Thanks!
Say, do *your* CDs launch an internet connection, no matter if it ends with
nothing but a "legal sorry"?

I'll consider it all. Now you didn't say: what happens when you put the CDs into
*your* computer? Does that launch an internet connection? I mean, the connection
may bring nothing from France because of those "legal problems", but this
doesn't explain why the CDs just don't *even* do anything automatically as they
are supposed to. Can you see anything on your CDs except the tracks, please?
I bought'em from the UK, for Sarkozy's sake!
> No offence.
Don't worry, being French remains a delicious previlege.
Thanx anyways.

. . .and the wikipedia page is wrong: *nothing* happens when you put the CDs in
the computer. You need to connect manually to the microsite first, and then if
you're from an authorized country (which France has now become :-) the site asks
you to insert the CD and then you may log.

Interesting enough little interview. Good to hear that HR & OD are to get
the same treatment as TB. I will start to clear a space on the shelf for
them now. I wonder what Mike meant by he "has always had a problem" with HR?

That the second part was too long and repetetive... IIRC.

Well, "little" is the word. Of course it's spontaneous and all, but I can hardly
believe that all Mercury could come up with is that thing done under the rain on
the side of a noisy street, with no editing whatsoever (see the abrupt ending).
They didn't even care to subtitle for those who have a hard time understanding
what is being said. Spontaneous or downright amateur, I don't know which applies
best here.
Anyway, just which site is MO calling his, and where he may put the alternate
"Caveman" take:
http://www.pushentertainment.com/283 ? http://www.mikeoldfield.org/ ?
http://www.tubularbells2009.com/
please?

See what I posted on yesterday 06/17 at 07:29.

When you get a chance, you should get the deluxe edition. The new mix is really
good, very focussed on small details which do make a difference without getting
too far from the sounds we've been appreciating for all those years.
