Something happened. I'm sure of it. No idea what.

Maybe I listened to part of Dancing that day, I don't know. That was a long time ago.

If you were listening to Dancing on Aug 1st, you must have had an
advance copy. I've got September 29th, 2000 listed as the release
date for that album. Earliest reviews on Amazon for the album are
from early October.

I can tell you what I was doing on Aug 1, 2000 - dreading turning 33
the next day. When I was a little kid I once figured out how old I'd
be in the year 2000 and back then 33 seemed *ancient*.

Well, I *did* say "maybe". I was too lazy to look up the release date. Maybe I was just thinking about it.

But on this date in 2000, I was one week closer to listening to "Dancing".

And 33? You old fart. On that date, I'd have been (checks notes)...never mind.

I went for a bike ride the other day and rode past a bunch of new
houses that had a sign saying it was a senior living development for
ages 55 and up...and I thought "Oh, an old folks home".

Then I realized that I've been eligible to live there for over a year
now.
