Hello NG,

I´ve got a Fame KC-49 Midi Controller-keyboard - which I think, is a
"rebrand" for a low-cost asian Controller.
I asked 'GrandmaGoogle' for at least a month but she couldn´t help me.
The Keyboard has four 360 degree-Knobs with a shift (so 8 Total)
I figured out:
Knob 1 is sending : Change Instrument: 1-128
Knob 2 Changes Part; eg: P1 is Piano P10 is Drums(GM)
... NX5R doesn´t do nothing at all
... NX5R doesn´t do nothing at all
Knob5 (Shift+Knob1) Changes Volume of selected Instrument
... something happens
... anyting happens but what
... some signal is received but HAL9000 won´t do nothong
-------------
Modulation and Pitchbend- Wheels are ok
Volume-Pedal is ok

there are doing things they should do relating on the ,lets call it
~manual~, a vast number of possible settings.
For most of them, my device reacts with a flashing-light for receiving
a valid Midi-Command...
But... I Dont know which one it is!
Is there a Monitor for thing like that? Receiving something via USB
and let it see in plain text?
Like a RS232Monitor or for other SerialAdapters or LPT-Cable?

If so, I could write some Workarounds or I could look for my old
documentation about my Korg Nx5R, I do believe, that there was a
section about programming. But only for CommPort vs. Midi Port

---------

Thanks in advance
Rai

I assume you're using Windows [I don't, so I can't give much more help
(:-/)] so you should check out "Midi-OX" ( http://www.midiox.com/ ).
I think it's likely to do what you want -- reporting all the MIDI events
that arrive at your PC.

There are lots of monitor apps around -- giggle for "MIDI Monitor" --
but that one seems to be generally recommended.

Sorry -- we have a little communications problem here... (:-))
I'm afraid I really can't figure out what you'te looking for.
(The terms "Rev" and "Chr" mean nothing to me in the MIDI domain.)
Might help if you actually specify the hardware (aside from the 'Fame')
that you do have.

Like I said, I don't use Windows, but there must be a USB driver
for it.

Good luck,

Hi Pete,

I was a little confused

Rev should have been reverb and chr chorus.

The question was how to change Reverb/Chorus/Pan LeftRight/ during
recording sessions in Cubase or Reaper or something like that. For
things like that I need the usb commands.

I will take a look at your hint when I get home.

Thanks very much
Rai
