I am trying to set up a Roland XP-10 to connect to a laptop which has no
midi port. The XP-10 has s mini din serial connector as well as midi and is
switchable for mac, PC1, PC2 and midi.
Is there anywhere I can find out the pinout or wiring info for the mini din
to DB9 to make a cable and also how do I get Cakewalk (or anything else) to
talk to the keyboard?
Thanks all
Richard

www.edirol.com has the cables and the current drivers you will likely need.

The edirol solution seems to be a USB adapter. I am aware of the serial
connection data for 8 pin mini-din to 9 pin (DB9) to use the laptop serial
port but there would have to be a driver to emulate the mac port. I'm sure
this exists somewhere.
