SoundWave World Wide Web Press Conference
SoundWave, a World Wide Web services firm specializing in the professional
musicc industry will unveil its Music ndustry Marketplace shopping mall
at a press conference Friday October 6th at 2PM in Conference Room A at the
Audio Engineering Society's 99th convention at the Jacob Javits Convention
Center. A newly designed user interface and a dramatic expansion of its
world wide web site (http://soundwave.com) and related services will also
be announced.
SoundWave has been chosen by PSN/Miller Freeman Publications to host the
the on-line version of the AES Daily Magazine, which is available at
http://soundwave.com/psn/daily.html. A demonstration of the AES Daily
and other SoundWave services will be presented at the briefing.
Since its launch earlier this year, SoundWave has generated a high level
of interest in the professional audio and recording community. Company
Director, Scott James reports"over 100,000 hits were made on the site
in August. This is a substantial amount of traffic which is continuing to
build. We are projecting over 150,000 hits in October and 200,000 a month
by years end. Our server and internet connection have been upgraded to
handle the increased volume."
SoundWave creates trunkey web sites for recording studios, producers,
equipment manufacturers and other professional industry participants.
SoundWave hostsseveral services inclusind the SoundWave directory to
industry resources, an events calendar, "What's New on the Web" and the
SoundWave Trading Post, a used equipment marketplace. The internet site
also provides links to many pro audio related sites on the web.
