Alright, I got Triumph. It is excellent! I absolutely love it. I've only
heard the first 3 songs so far, and all are great.

I can't wait until I get to Heartbreak Hotel, because I know it's good, it's
one of my most played mp3s. Gary Coleman did the vibes on the album.. I
wonder if it's the same kid from Hook?

I think that Lovely One sounds almost like Dance and Shout. Kinda like
Ghosts is to Is It Scary.

I've noticed a few beats on the Jacksons's albums that I think Bowie stole
for his. Like on the non-singing parts of Magic Dance you can hear the
non-singing parts from the end of Can You Feel It. Also, Let's Dance stole
the Beat from the Destiny track : The Things I Do For You.

have you got "Jacksons LIVE" at all> on vinyl it's a 2 disc set but 1 CD....is
REALLY awesome! I love the MJ angry part.where they have the fight about what
songs they were gonna do next.J5 ones or new ones....and when Michael sings
Ben....OOOOOOHHHHHHHH man...that's SO cool!

I loved the Jacksons Live album. I wish I could have seen the video of the
show but it was not available to buy on video where I lived in the early
80's and I haven't been able to find it since. Has anyone seen the concert
that spawned the album?

The double LP is better; it's more complete.

Lovely One (US #12) is what they would today call a 'quiet storm' a great
ballad that had me hooked the first time i heard it. But there are soo
many really superb tracks on that album. For example, 'Can You feel It'
and 'Walk right Now' only managed to get to #77 and #73, even though
both track made the top 10 in Britain. Even now, 'Can You feel it' has been
heavely sampled, particularely the Bells section and the triuphant horn section
In fact i've heard someone take the Bass line and build a whole idea around
that phrase .

....'Can you feel it', a really standout arrangement concidering the times.

Walk right now, was that covered a lot of times since it came out? I
could've swore I've heard it a hundred times before.

yeah it's the best.would KILL to see a video of that show....lol he sounds so
angry in parts....hehe.would be coold if there was a cd-rom extra made for dif
sections on the conert albums....like for the angry rap and J5 dance routines
having that come on with video when played on the comp.and when they sung Can
You Feel It and were screaming that out etc. just different sections like
that.would be awesome...ah to helll with that.just having the full concert
playing along with the soundtrack as the CD extra.....lol can play it as a
VCD/CD-rom (same thing basically) or on your cd player as a cd....would ROCK!

I finally tracked down the group that had a monster hit in Europe
with a huge sample from "Can you feel it".

The group was "TAMPERER featureing Maya" on Jive Records,
and the song was "Feel it".

You can find the video here
http://www.launch.com/musicvideos/view/not_start/1,,167169~1057,00.html

As i said before the sample crops up all over the place, most recently
to introduce a BBC parlimentary program ;-)

They used that song on the premiere episode of "Queer As Folk" on Showtime at
the very beginning of the show.
