The 100 best charting artists of all time

NEW YORK/LONDON, 4/27/03

Adding artists charting points is not an easy task. A select staff of editors
from United States trade magazine Billboard, as well as editors with HMV, a
United Kingdom system, came together to calculate chart histories and points in
both countries. Not surprisingly, Elvis Presley was on top in both continents,
followed by the U.K.'s Cliff Richard. In third, is none other than icon,
Madonna, the only female in the Top 10. Amazingly, she accomplished this feat
with only 9 studio albums. Elton John, with 40 albums, takes the fifth slot.
The Beatles, an ever present contender, rounds up the top five, coming in at
number four.

Here are the 100 best charting artists of all time:

"It's impossible. I have done some R Rated stuff late night crap on..Cinemax.
It's good money but nothing that I consider acting. I would like to do
something that takes some actual acting ability."
