I've recently changed to PC (Windows 95) after many years of Super-MRC use.
All my songs are in that format and need to be changed to MIDI file or
Cakewalk files. Is there a program out there that can do the conversion from
MRC to MIDI file on PC? Pleeeze let me know!

Cheers, Marty (Hopeful!!!!)

Me too, I have a disk with a song on it (Spanish stroll by Mink Deville) which I
never copied across. I miss it .... not enough to redo it though for the PC

Brad - As far as I know, there is no software for your PC that will convert
MRC files to MIDI - however, you should be able to do these conversions with
the super MRC software in the Rolands - even tho' it is a long and laborious
pain in the neck to do so!
E mail me at nilsen@dreamscape if you'd like to know more

Pardon my ignorance, but is the MRC format the same as the Roland
MC500?? If so I think I have a converter around somewhere - let me
know eh.

Well, I read the other replies on this, and I don't even know what
MRC(or I forget) stands for, but if there are midi ports involved, why
not just play them real time into format 0, on whatever sequencer you
are using, and press "record"
It might take a little while, but there's not a quicker way of getting
the seq's you want other than downloading particular titles that you
have to get used to from the web...
What do you think of this idea?
I have a small (15K) prog that switches 0 to1 and vice versa if anyone
needs it...

Check out software from Giebler Enterprises if they are still around

Email is gie...@aol.com

Hope this helps, the software is available for many formats was $54.95
a few years ago.

Best Regards,

DJ

PS: have you tried the Alesis QSR with PCMCIA cards to play back MIDI
it's very good idea but get very strange sounds regardless of what
MIDI systems ex I send to the FLASH RAM CARD. Any Ideas?
