Andrew Gold had a hit with the song "Thank You for Being A Friend", about
twentysome years ago or thereabouts. I also liked his followup release, "Never
Let Her Slip Away", but I can't find the words.

Can remember snippet, tho

And I love her, I'm hopin' that I'll never recover
Cuz she's good for me, and it would really make me happy
To never let her slip away.
