I got the Garth Live Double CD and its great but... I can't understand
the last verse of Friends in Low Places. Not the regular version, I have

those lycrics. The secret version or specail version. The one that ends
with " Kiss My Ass! "

If anyone has those lycrics please respond via email.

Thanks a lot, Steve

final verse (revised)

well i guess i was wrong,
I just dont belong,
but hell i've been there before,
If everyting is alright, i'll just say goodnight and show myself to the
door,
I did'nt mean to cause a big scene,
just wait till I finish this glass,
Then little darlin i'll head back to the bar,
and you can kiss my ass.

This is only done on live versions as an additional verse.

Hi,

Could somebody please give me the lyrics to "Oh dear! what can the
matter be"?

I downloaded a version from one of the lyric databases but the second
verse (at least the way I vaguely remembers it) is wrong.

>> He promised to buy me a bunch of blue ribbons;
>> He promised to buy me some bonny blue ribbons;
>> He promised to buy me a bunch of blue ribbons,
>> To bind up my bonny brown hair.

I am also still looking for the lyrics of "My curly headed baby",
please!

If somebody can help I would appreciate it if a copy can also be
e-mailed to me. My news feed is very flaky.

Much appreciated.

I don't remeber all of it but I do remember this much.
(The part I don't remember) Just until I finsh this glass, and I'll head back
to the bar and you can kiss my ass.

I think you may be thinking of this
song by Ground Uncommon.

You Can Kiss My Ass

You can kiss my ass
You can kiss my ass
You can kiss my everlovin', bad, black, funky ass

Not on the right side
Not on the left cheek
But in the middle baby
Where you know that shit ain't sweet
Kiss my ass

If this song strikes your fancy you may
possibly also enjoy some other songs
like The Star Spangled Banner, My
Country Tis of Thee and other songs
that politicians profess to like as well.

That's the great song "Friends in Low Places" from his 1990 album,
"No Fences". Lyrics for Garth Brooks songs and some other country songs
as well can be found at:

Friends in Low Places
(Dewayne Blackwell, Bud Lee)
------------------------------
Blame it all on my roots
I showed up in boots
And ruined your black tie affair
The last one to know
The last one to show
I was the last one
You thought you'd see there
And I saw the surprise
And the fear in his eyes
When I took his glass of champagne
And I toasted you
Said, honey, we may be through
But you'll never hear me complain

'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got friends in low places

Well, I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
But then, I've been there before
Everything's all right
I'll just say goodnight
And I'll show myself to the door
Hey, I didn't mean
To cause a big scene
Just give me an hour and then
Well, I'll be as high
As that ivory tower
That you're livin' in

'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got friends in low places

New Verse:
I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
But then, I've been there before
And everything is alright
I'll just say goodnight
And I'll show myself to the door

I didn't mean to cause a big scene

Just wait 'til I finish this glass
Then sweet little lady

I'll head back to the bar

And you can kiss my ass

'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got friends in low places
