I tried altavista search, for Mexican Anthem, then found the author:
Francisco Gonzalez Bocanegra. Next I searched on the author's name, and
HELLO, there was the song in both Spanish and English. But I'll save you
the trouble

Mexican National Anthem

The National Anthem was written by Francisco Gonzalez Bocanegra (with
music by Jaime Nunó) in 1854.

CORO CHORUS
>Mexicanos, al grito de guerra Mexicans, at the cry of battle
el acero aprestad y el bridon, lend your swords and bridle;
Y retiemble en sus centros la tierra and let the earth tremble at its
center
al sonoro rugir del can~on. upon the sonorous roar of the
cannon.

>Cin~a, !oh Patria! tus sienes de oliva Your forehead shall be grided, oh
Fatherland! with olive
garlands
De la Paz el arcangel divino by the divine archangel of
peace,
que en el cielo tu eterno destino for in heaven your eternal
destiny
por el dedo de Dios se escribio. has been written by the hand of
God.
Mas si osare un extran~o enemigo But should a foreign enemy
profanar con su planta tu suelo, profane your land with his
sole,
piensa !oh Patria querida! que el cielo think, beloved Fatherland!,
that

heaven
un soldado en cada hijo te dio. gave you a soldier in each son.

En sangrientos combates los viste,
por tu amor palpitando sus senos,
arrostrar la metralla serenos
y la muerte o la gloria buscar.
Si el recuerdo de antiguas hazan~as
de tus hijos inflama la mente,
los laureles del triunfo, tu frente
volveran inmortales a ornar.

Como al golpe del rayo la encina
se derrumba hasta el hondo torrente
la discordia vencida, impotente,
a los piel del arcangel cayo'.
Ya no mas de tus hijos la sangre
se derrame en contienda de hermanos;
solo encuentre el acero en sus manos
quien tu nombre sagrado insulto'.

>!Guerra!, !guerra!, sin tregua al que War!, war! without truce against
intente, who would
attempt,
de la Patria manchar sus blasones. to blemish the honor of the

Fatherland!
!Guerra!, !guerra!, los patrios pendones War, war! The patriotic
banners
en las olas de sangre empapad. saturate in waves of blood.
!Guerra!, !guerra!, en el monte, en el War, war! On the mount, in
the
valle,
vale,
los canones horrisonos truenen, the terrifying cannon
thunder
y los ecos sonoros resuenen and the echoes nobly resound
con las voces de !Union! !Libertad! to the cries of union!
liberty!

>Antes, Patria, que inermes tus hijos Fatherland, before your children
become
unarmed
bajo el yugo su cuello dobleguen, beneath the yoke their necks
in

sway,
tus campin~as con sangre se rieguen, may your countryside be
watered
with
blood,
sobre sangre se estampe su pie. on blood their feet trample.
Y tus templos, palacios y torres, And may your temples,
palaces and

towers
se derrumben con horrido estruendo, crumble in horrid crash,
y sus ruinas existan diciendo: and their ruins exist
saying:
de mil heroes la patria aqui fue. The fatherland was made of
one
thousand heroes
here.

Si a la lid contra hueste enemiga
nos convoca la tropa guerrera,
de Iturbide la sacra bandera,
iMexicanos!, valientes seguid.
Y a los fieros bridones les sirvan
las vencidas ensen~as de alfombra;
los laureles del triunfo den sombra
a la frente del bravo adalid.

Vuelva altivo a los patrios hogares
el guerrero a contar su victoria,
ostentando las palmas de gloria
que supiera en la lid conquistar.
Tornaranse sus lauros sangrientos
en guirnaldas de mirtos y rosas;

>!Patria! !Patria! Tus hijos te juran Fatherland!, fatherland!, your

children swear
exhalar en tus aras su aliento, Beneath the yoke their necks
in sway,
si el clarin con su belico acento If the bugle in its
belligerent tone
nos convoca a lidiar con valor. should call upon them to
struggle
with
bravery.
!Para ti las guirnaldas de oliva! For you the olive garlands!
!un recuerdo para ellos de gloria! For them a memory of glory!
!un laurel para ti de victoria! For you a laurel of victory!
!un sepulcro para ellos de honor! For them a tomb of honor!
-- Francisco Gonzalez Bocanegra
