Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with the
lyrics to Why Don't You Do Right. It was sung by Ella in her Concerts
album and it was a Peggy Lee hit. I believe Frank Sinatra did it as
well. And Jessica Rabbit sang it in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. can't
find it on any lyrics pages, tho. =(

But I don't want the Sinead O Connor version, tho

I know a bit of it is:

It was originally a pretty dark blues song (meaning, done a lot slower
and with more intensity), sung, I believe, by Alberta Hunter. The
lyrics as I remember them are:

You had plenty money 1922

One of the best known version was recorded by LIL GREEN
in 1941 with a fine and bluesy accompaniement by BIG BILL BRONZY
you can find this tune in CD BLUES COLLECTION 158212
