I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with the
lyrics to Why Don't You Do Right. It was sung by Ella in her Concerts
album and it was a Peggy Lee hit. I believe Frank Sinatra did it as
well. And Jessica Rabbit sang it in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. can't
find it on any lyrics pages, tho. =(
But I don't want the Sinead O Connor version, tho
I know a bit of it is:
You had lots of money 1922
You let other women make a fool of you
Why don't you do right
Like some other men do
Get out of here
And get me some money too
If you had prepared twenty years ago
Ýou wouldn't be wandering now from door to door
Why don't you do right
Like some other men do
Get out of here
And get me some money too/
You had plenty money 1922
You let other women make a fool of you
Why don't you do right like some other men do
Get out of here and get me some money too
If you had prepared 20 years ago
You would not be wanderin' from door to door
Why don't you do right...
You're sitting down wonderin' what it's all about
If you ain't got no money they will put you out
Why don't you do right...
I fell for you darlin' and I took you in
But all you can give me is a drink of gin
Why don't you do right...
