When I'm Dead And Gone

ooh I love you baby, I love you night and day
when I leave you baby, don't cry the night away
when I die, don't you write no words upon my tomb
I don't believe, I want to leave no epitaph for two

wohowow, when I'm dead and gone
I wanna leave some happy woman living on
wohowow, when I'm dead and gone
I don't want nobody to morn beside my grave - yeah

ooh, Mama Linda, she's out to get my eye
she's got a shotgun and a daughter by her side
hey there, ladies, Johnson愀 free
who's got the law, who's got the love to keep a man like me

wohowow, when I'm dead and gone
I'm gonna leave some happy woman living on
wohowow, when I'm dead and gone
I don't want nobody to morn beside my grave - yeah

wohowow, when I'm dead and gone
I'm gonna leave some happy woman living on
wohowow, when I'm dead and gone
I don't want nobody to morn beside my grave - yeah

when I惴 dead and gone...

I remember this being a big hit (#1) in the UK in Dec 1970.
Anybody know why it did not chart in the US?

Because it sucked? I give up, why?

It charted in January 1971 and went to # 47.

Flint's followup hit "Malt And Barley Blues" was what didn't chart. That's if
it got a release.

- If you don't have anything nice to say, say it about Gwyneth Paltrow

101 Things I Hate:
# 47. "Happy Hour" with those two moronic Zappa outcasts (Ooh ooh, who wants to
play the Doo Doo Game?)

101 Things I Hate About "Friends":
# 47. We can thank this sorry show for "The Pallbearer", "Picture Perfect" and
"Ed"
