Running bear

On the bank of the river stood Running Bear young Indian brave
On the other side of the river stood his lovely Indian maid
Across the river he could see her what a lovely sight to see
But their tribes they faught each other so their love could never be

Running bear loved Little White Dove with a love big as the sky
Running bear loved Little White Dove with a love that wouldn't die

He couldn't swim the raging river cause the river was to wide
He couldn't reach his little white dove waiting on the other side
In the moon light he could see her blowing kisses across the waves
Her little heart was beating faster waiting for her Indian brave

(Chorus)

Running Bear dove in the water Little White Dove did the same
As they swam out to each other through the swirling stream they came
As their hands touched and their lips met the raging river pulled them down
Now they'll always be together in that happy hunting ground

(Chorus)

Running Bare

On the banks of the river I hung my clothes on a hickory limb
As I stood there completely naked I dove right in to take a swim
As I swam the raging river someone came and stole my clothes
Now I'm running down the shore line with my buns completely froze

Running bare down the shore line running bare's what they called me
Running bare down the shore line people seeing what they could see

I couldn't catch the crazy fellow who came and stole all my clothes
So I just kept right on running freezing from my head to toes
I finally made it to my home town people laughing as I ran
I was turning red all over so I grabbed my thing and ran

Running bare right down main street running bare's what they called me
Running bare right down main street people seeing what they could see

I turned the corner and they're they found me running down my home street
People staring out they're windows all they saw was one big streak
I finally made it to my front door people laughing at what they see
The crazy fella who stole my clothes he also stole my key

Running bare down my home street running bare's what they called me
Running bare down my home street people seeing what they could see

Running bare down the shore line running bare right down main street
Running bare down the home stretch people seeing what they could see

Hurry up and get home with that spare key honey
the dogs are barking and the neighbors are staring
oh woe is me

Mike, I'm gonna try and remember the Running Bear lyrics right off the
top of my head. Here goes.

On the bank of the river
stood Running Bear

young indian brave.

On the other side of the river

stood his lovely indian maid.
Little White Dove was her name.
Such a lovely sight to see.
But their tribes fought with each other
so there love could never be.

(chorus) Running Bear loved little White Dove
with a love big as the sea
Running Bear loved little White Dove
with a love that couldn't be.

He couldn't swim the raging river

Cause the river was too wide.
He couldn't reach little White Dove
waiting on the other side.
In the moonlight
you could see him
throwing kisses 'cross the way
to his lovely indian maiden
wating there so far away.

(chorus)

Running Bear dove in the water
Little White Dove did the same

And they swam up to each other

through the swirling stream they came
As their hands touched
and their lips met

The raging river pulled them down

Now they'll always be together

in their happy hunting ground.

(chorus)
