At least, I think 4NonBlondes is how you spell it...

I've simply given up trying to transcribe the words from the only
recording I have (and that off the radio) from the sheer amount of
noise. This is probably an old request but any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I found this one in my database:

What´s up

25 years of my life and still
I'm trying to get up that great big hill of hope
for a destination
I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this
brotherhood of man
for whatever that means

So I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed
To get it all out what's in my head
then I start feeling a little peculiar
so I wake in the morning and I step outside
I take a deep breath
I get real high
then I scream from the top of my lungs
what's goin' on
and I say hey .. etc.
and I said hey what's goin' on and I say hey .. etc.
I said hey what's qoin' on

And I try, oh my Cod do I try
I try all the time in is institution
and I pray, oh my God do I pray
I pray every single day
for a revolution
so I cry sometimes when I'm lyin' in bed
to get it all out what's in my head
then I start feeling a little peculiar
so I wake in the morning and I step outside
I take a deep breath then I get real high
then I scream from the top at my lungs
what's goin' on
and sayhey .. etc
and said hey what's goin'on and I say hey .. etc.

That's right!

WHAT'S UP

Twenty five years of my life and still

I'm trying to get up that great big hill
of hope
for a destination

I realized quickly, as I knew I should,
that this world was made up of this
brotherhood of man,
for whatever that means.
And so I cry sometims when I'm lying in bed
just to get it all out, what's in my head,
and I and I'm feeling a little peculiar.
And so I wake in the morning and I stop
outside and I take a deep breath
and I get real high
and I scream from the top of my lungs
"what's goin' on?"
And I say hey hey...
I said hey! What's goin' on?
And I say hey hey...
I said hey! What's goin' on?

And I try, oh my God do I try

I try all the time

in this institution

and I pray, oh my God do I pray
I pray every single day

for a revolution.

And so I cry sometims when I'm lying in bed
just to get it all out, what's in my head,
and I and I'm feeling a little peculiar.
And so I wake in the morning and I stop
outside and I take a deep breath
and I get real high
and I scream from the top of my lungs
"what's goin' on?"
And I say hey hey...
I said hey! What's goin' on?
And I say hey hey...
I said hey! What's goin' on?

Twenty five years of my life and still
I'm tryin' to get up that great big hill
of hope
for a destination.

Subject: CRD was REQ: "What's Up," 4 Non Blondes
The Non Blondes play this in A; I use G 'cause it's easier for me to
sing. It's possible to play the song as just G Am C G; the extra
chords are only played for one beat apiece just before the change.
