Recently, I attended a seminar, reviewing american music
history. One of the songs was a ragtime piece - so it
sounded to me - the speaker called it, as best I could
tell, "Hillsboro Blues".

I searched for it, to download a recording, or piano
sheet music, but came up empty. Most likely, I
mis-heard the title. Anybody have any clue to what
it might properly be?

If this is it it is not as you heard it.

They didn't have Led Zeppelin clones 100 years ago.

I found it by accident, serendipity - "Winnsboro Blues".
It was the modern verson, by Rzweski, but I'm 99%
sure it's the same song, which was more tradiitonal,
with piano and singer. Both cases evoke the sound of
pounding machinery.
