(btw if you know all the guitar chords for the part..
they say I'm crazy ....they would help lots too_
Thanks,
Gavin
I own a mansion,
Forget the price.
Ain't never been there,
They tell me it's nice.
I live in hotels,
Tear out the walls.
I have accountants
Pay for it all.
They say I'm crazy but I have a good time.
I'm just looking for clues at the scene of the crime.
Life's been good to me so far.
My Maserati
Does one eighty-five.
I lost my license,
Now I don't drive.
I have a limo,
Ride in the back.
I lock the doors
In case I'm attacked.
I'm making records,
My fans they can't wait.
They write me letters
Tell me I'm great.
So I got me an office,
Gold records on the wall.
Just leave a message,
Maybe I'll call.
Lucky I'm sane after all I've been through.
[Everybody sing I'm cool] {He's cool}
I can't complain but sometimes I still do.
Life's been good to me so far.
[instrumental]
I go to parties,
Sometimes until four.
It's hard to leave
When you can't find the door.
It's tough to handle
This fortune and fame.
Everybodies so different,
I haven't changed.
They say I'm lazy but it takes all my time.
[Everybody sing oh yeah] {oh yeah}
I keep on going guess I'll never know why.
Life's been good to me so far

LIFE'S BEEN GOOD - Joe Walsh
---------------------------------------
tabbed by Howard Wright
H.Wr...@astro.cf.ac.uk
As this is quite a long song, I'll start the ball rolling
with the intro riff
Usual symbols :
b = bend up
r = release bend
/ = slide up
E---------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------
G--------------------2----------------2---2-2-------
D--------------------2--------2-----------2-2-------
A--2b3-3r2-0--2/4------0-2/4-----4--------0-0-------
E---------------------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------3-3-3--------------
G---------------------2----------------2-2-2---2-2-2------
D---------------------2--------2----0--0-0-0---2-2-2------
A--2b3-3r2-0--2/4-------0-2/4----4-------------0-0-0------
E---------------------------------------------------------
E---
B---
G------------------------------2--2-2---------
D-------------------------2-------2-2-------
A--2b3-2b3-2b3r2-0--0-2/4---4-----0-0-----
E-----
E-----
B----------------------------------------3-3-3------2
G----------------------------------------2-2-2------2
D-----------------------2-------2----0---0-0-0------2
A---2b3--3r2--0--2/4------0-2/4----4----------------0
E---
The last A chord is where the other instruments come in
He carries on playing this riff while the slide guitar etc play
other stuff
Then after 8 or 16 bars the acoustic guitar comes in with :
E---5-5-5---3-3-3--1-1----5-5-5---3-3-3--1-1----5-5-5---3-3-3--0-0-0-0----
B---6-6-6---5-5-5--1-1----6-6-6---5-5-5--1-1----5-5-5---3-3-3--1-1-0-0h1--
G---5-5-5---5-5-5--2-2----5-5-5---5-5-5--2-2----5-5-5---4-4-4--2-2-0-0h2--
D---
A---
E---
Then a little lead in on the electric:
E--
B--
G--
D------0-2-3---
A---3----------
E--
And the singing starts here!
I don't know the words, but the chords start with:
F C/E Dm C F C/E Dm C
(repeat once)
then:
G FaddG C G C G C G
G FaddG C G C G/B A
The words over the last C G/B A are "Life's been good to me so
far"
Then it goes back to F C/E Dm etc
Shapes:
EADGBE EADGBE EADGBE
xx3213 x20003 xx2010
FaddG G/B C/E
I think you know the others....
Hope this gets you started- the rest of the song is mostly repeats
and variations on these bits i.e the intro riff, acoustic chords
and the main body of the song (the bit above with the chords)
Hope y'all enjoy!
Howard

<Much of a great post snipped here>
Walsh has some alternate lyrics for this
song. I heard him live in 1983 where
he used some of them. I assume that he has others
that he has used on other occassions. The
offical version is as Erin posted.
> Life's Been Good 1978
<Great lyrics snipped>
> I have a limo, ride in the back
> I lock the doors in case I'm attacked
I have a limo ride in the trunk.
I lock the doors in case I get drunk.
> I'm making records, my fans they can't wait
> They write me letters, tell me I'm great
> So I got me an office, gold records on the wall
> Just leave a message, maybe I'll call
> Lucky I'm sane after all I've been through
> I cant complain but sometimes I still do
> Life's been good to me so far
> I go to parties sometimes until four
> It's hard to leave when you can't find the door
I go to parties sometimes until three
It's hard to leave when you can't even see.
