That would be the Association...
It's been a while, but I think that the lyrics go like this...but
don't take my word for it...

You ask me if
There'll come a time
When I'll grow tired of you

Never my love
Never my love

You wonder if
This heart of mine
Will lose its desire for you

Never my love
Never my love

How can you say love will end
When you know that my whole life depends
On you

...that's it I think, but I have this itchy feeling that I left out a
verse or something...

Hope it helps...I really love this song. We did a great four-part
arrangement of it several years ago.

Well, they wore sweaters ... and sport coats ... and I guess their
haircuts were good enough, considering the times they lived in
(early to mid 60's), but they weren't the Four anythings, they were
the Association.
And they were TREMENDOUSLY romantic. Every seventh grade girl
wore out their albums playing them and pretending they knew what
they'd do if they ever got invited to a boy-girl party and a boy
asked them to dance to one of the Association songs ("Cherish"
was the biggie that I remember ... 1967?)

Gawd, I'm OLD.

Title: Never My Love
Music-Lyrics: Addrisi, D & D - Addrisi, D & D
Year: 1967

You ask me if there'll come a time
When I grow tired of you;
Never my love, never my love.

You wonder if this heart of mine

Will lose its desire for you;

Never my love, never my love.

What makes you think love will end

When you know that my whole life depends

On you?

You say you'll fear I'll change my mind
I won't require you,
Never my love, never my love.

How can you think love will end
When I've asked you to spend
Your whole life with me?

You say you fear I'll change my mind
I won't require you,
Never my love, never my love.

I think the artist was one of those "Four..." groups. You know, "The
Four Tops" or "The Four Freshmen" or "The Four Guys With Good Haircuts
and Bad Sweaters", something like that.

You ask me if there'll come a time when I grow tired of you
Never my love never my love
You ask me if I'll change my mind and I won't require you

Never my love, never my love

How can you (may be What makes you...) think love will end
When I've asked you to spend your whole life with me

(Bridge, with lots of bum bum bum bums and pretty harmony)

Never my love, never my love

How can you (may be What makes you...) think love will end
When you know that my whole life depends on you

(Bridge, with lots of organ)

Never my love, never my love

I may have left out a verse ? But, again, this is pretty close.

Peace,

Mildred
