Ok, this song was also in the beginning of "adventures in babysitting" and
possibly other movies but thats all i know it was in right now. i know someone
knows who sang it cause its popular. it goes:

"well he walked up to me and he asked if i wanted to dance
he looked kinda nice so i thought that i might take a chance
and when we danced he held me tight
and when he walked me home that night
i felt so happy i almost died
and then he kissed me"

i'm thinking the name is "and then he kissed me" or "then he kissed me" and
searching the engines isn't helping, so could someone let me know who sang it
and if i have the wrong title, please let me know the right one. and lyrics too
if you got em (please do not send me a link to the lyrics, my mouse is broken
and can't click on the links, so i need them in the message or email)

thanx in advance,
christal

"Then He Kissed Me"
by the
Crystals
from
http://members.tripod.com/~ylime_/

Well, he walked up to me and he asked me if I wanted to dance.
He looked kinda nice and so I said I might take a chance.
When he danced he held me tight

and when he walked me home that night

all the stars were shining bright
and then he kissed me.

Each time I saw him I couldn't wait to see him again.
I wanted to let him know that he was more than a friend.
I didn't know just what to do
so I whispered I love you
and he said that he loved me too
and then he kissed me.

He kissed me in a way that I've never been kissed before,
he kissed me in a way that I wanna be kissed forever more.

I knew that he was mine so I gave him all the love that I had
and one day he took me home to meet his mom and his dad.
Then he asked me to be his bride
and always be right by his side.
I felt so happy I almost cried
and then he kissed me.

Then he asked me to be his bride
and always be right by his side.
I felt so happy I almost cried
and then he kissed me.
And then he kissed me.
And then he kissed me.

Hi,
I think this is the song you are looking for:

"Rachel Sweet

AND THEN HE KISSED ME / BE MY BABY

Well

he walked up to me

And he asked me if I wanted to dance.
He looked kind-a nice
And so I said I might take a chance.
When he danced
he hold me tight.
When he walked me home that night
AII the stars were shining bright

And then he kissed me.

Each time I saw him

I couldn't wait to see him again.
I wanted to let him know

That he was more than a friend.

I didn't know just what to do

So I whispered "l love you".
He said that he loved me too

And then he kissed me.

He kissed me in a way that I've never been kissed before.
He kissed me in a way that I want to be kissed for evermore
So I said "Be my little Baby".
Say you'll be my Darling.
Be my Baby
yeah
oh ho ho ho.
The night we met I knew I needed you so
And if I had the chance
I'd never let you go.
So won't you say you love me

I'll make you so proud of me.
We'll make them turn their heads ev'ry place we go.
So won't you please be my little Baby.
Say you'll be my Darling

Be my Baby
yeah
oh ho ho ho.
I'll make you happy
Baby
just wait and see.
For ev'ry kiss you give me I'll give you three.
Oh since the day I saw you I have been waiting for you

You know I will adore you 'till eternity.
So won't you please be my little Baby. . . .
Oh won't you'll be my darling

Be my Baby
oh ho ho ho.
Be my little Baby

Say you'll be my darling

Be my Baby
yeah
oh ho ho ho."

Funny that you should ask about a song by the Crystals, Christal.
It was from 1963; it is available on many CDs; the lyrics are also at
Lyrics World.

and 70's

"he's un undercover agent for the FBI"
...

"Now wait a minute Jim, you know that's not true I've been living here all of my
life."
...

".. kicked old green teeth right in the knees, well he let out a yell that'll
curl your hair, but before he moved I grabbed me a chair.."

I can't help much, but I do remember the song. It tells the story of how this long
haired hippy has a flat in Mississippi and he tucks his hair up under a baseball cap
to go into a redneck joint to call for help. When he had to remove his hat due to
the presence of a "lady" he was in trouble. He was trying to divert attention from
himself to the "guy with green teeth". I recall he also says "He's got a Viet Cong
flag mounted in his garage".

Uneasy Rider by Chrlie Daniels Band

I was taking a trip out to L. A.
tooling along in my chevrolet
tokin' on a number and digging on the radio
jes' as I cross the Mississippi line I heard that highway start to whine
and I knew that left rear tire was about to go
well the spare was flat and I got uptight cause there wasn't a fillin'
station in sight so I jest limped down the shoulder on the rim
I went as far as I could and when I stopped the car
it was right in front of this little bar
a kind of redneck looking joint called the Dew Drop Inn

Well I stuffed my hair up under my hat
and I told the bartender that I had a flat
and would he be kind enough to give me change for a one
there was one thing I was sure proud to see
There wasn't a soul in the place 'cept for him and me
and he just looked disgusted and pointed toward the telephone
I called up the station down the road aways
and he said he wasn't very busy today
and he could have somebody there in just about ten minutes or so
he said now you just stay right where yer at
and I didn't bother tellin' the durn fool that I didn't have anyplace else
to go
I jes ordered up a beer and sat down at the bar when some guy walked in and
said who owns this car
with the peace sign, mag wheels, four on the floor
well he looked at me and I damned near died
and I decided that I'd just wait outside
so I layed a dollar on the bar and headed for the door
jes' when I thought I'd get outta there with my skin
these two big dudes come strolling in
with this one ole drunk chick
and some fella with green teeth
an' I was almost to the door when the biggest one
said tip your hat to this lady son
and when I did all that hair fell out from underneath
now the last thing I wanted was to get in a fight
in Jackson,Mississippi on a Saturday night
'specially when there was three of them and only one of me
well they all started laughing and I felt kinda sick
and I knew I 'd better think of somethin' pretty quick
so I jes' reached out and kicked ol' green teeth right in the knee
he let out a yell that'd curl your hair
but before he could move I grabbed me a chair
and said watch him folks 'cause he's a thoroughly dangerous man
well you may not know it but this man's a spy
he's an undercover agent for the F.B.I.
and he's been sent down here to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan
he was still bent over holdin' on to his knee
but everyone was lookin' and listen' to me
and I layed it on thicker and heavier as I went
I said would you believe this man has gone as far
as tearin' Wallace stickers off the bumpers of cars
and he voted for George McGovern for president
well he's a friend of them long- haired hippy type pinko fags
I betcha he's even got a commie flag tacked up on the wall inside of his
garage
he's a snake in the grass I tell ya guys
he may look dumb but that's just a disguise
he's a mastermind in the ways of espionage
they all started lookin' real suspicious at him
and he jumped up an' said jes' wait a minute Jim
you know he's lyin' I've been livin' here all my life
I'm a faithful follower of Brother John Birch
and I belong to the Antioch Baptist Church
and I ain't even got a garage-you can call home and ask my wife
then he started sayin' somethin' 'bout the way I was dressed
but I didn't wait around to hear the rest
I was too busy movin' and hopin' I didn't run out of luck
and when I hit the ground I was makin' tracks
and they were jes' takin' my car down off the jacks
so I threw the man a twenty an' jumped in and fired that mother up
Mario Andretti would sure be proud
of the way I was movin' when I passed that crowd
comin' out the door and headin' toward me at a trot
and I guess I shoulda gone ahead and run
but somehow I couldn't resist the fun
of chasin' them jes' once around the parkin' lot
well they were headin' for their car but I hit the gas
and spun around and headed them off at the pass
well I was slingin' gravel and puttin' a ton of dust in the air
well I had them all there steppin' and a fetchin'
like their heads were on fire and their asses was catchin'
but I figured I oughta go ahead and split before the cops got there
when I hit the road I was really wheelin'
had gravel flyin'and rubber squeelin'
and I didn't slow down till I was almost to Arkansas
well I think I'm gonna reroute my trip
I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped
if I went to L.A. via Omaha
