Hi,

Still can't find what the song is, despite trying all sorts of searches. It
is a commercial for Progressive insurance, of a guy siting in a blue room,
with a girl that transforms into a cheerleader. The song has lyrics which
sound to me like:

Dance

all night (all right? keep it up all night?)

keep it out of sight

There were a few songs that I found lyrics that were similar, but they were
not it. This is a disco tune.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

JMH

Actually I thought the lyrics were:
"C'mon dance,
Dance with me tonight,
You're out of sight.
C'mon dance... (etc.)"

And the girl ends up holding a box of pizza, not pom poms.

It's possible that this song was created by contemporary studio
musicians specifically for Progressive's commercial and, so, may not
have been released beforehand. I have heard thousands of disco songs
and I maintain massive lists organized by year and artist at
http://discotheque.narod.ru/ but as far as I know I never heard it
before the ad got aired in January 2003. There was a different disco
song "Dance With Me Tonight" by Dexter Wansel in 1977, but also an
MFSB song of the same title the next year which was written by Dexter
Wansel and Cynthia Biggs which I have not heard yet but is also
unlikely to be the Progressive one.

The commercial comes in several different lengths, by the way, one of
which has a noticeably longer playtime for the song and some different
camera shots.
