Thanks,

.... and the priest just said it...
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green ?
And was the holy lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen ?
And did that countenance divine
Shine forth upon these clouded hills ?
And was Jerusalem builded here
In England's dark satanic mills ?
Bring me my bow of burning gold
Bring me my arrows of desire
Bring me my spear, o clouds unfold
Bring me my chariots of fire
I will not cease from mental fight
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
'Til we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and plesant land
This was my school hymn, and I love it very much. Have you heard the
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer version on the album "Brain Salad Surgery"?
It has a place on my list of all time favorite cover versions, too.
Peace,
Mildred

Also on: "Chariots of Fire" by Vangelis. Also in: "The Loneliness of
the Long Distance Runner", a movie from the '50s, starring Tom Courtenay. Also
quoted in: "Fool's Overture" on Supertramp's "Even in the Quietest Moments",
and a track from Depeche Mode's "Music for the Masses" (I think it is in the
end of "I'm Taking a Ride With My Best Friend", but I'm not sure). And I guess
that the list of covers/versions/quotations is still open...
