Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Most of the lyric is
quite easy to figure out, but the bridge is beyond me. My band wants
to perform this one, and for now we're practicing with "placeholder"
lyrics.
Thanks.
Dear Fab:
Here's my version:
White Bird -- It's a Beautiful Day
Key is C
Verse: C Bb (repeat) F Eb C
1. White bird, in a golden cage,
on a winter's day, in the rain.
White bird, in a golden cage,
alone
chorus:
White bird must fly; she will die
white bird must fly; she will die.
2. The leaves blow, cross the long black road
to the darkin sky, in its rage,
But the white bird, just sits in its cage,
unknown.
3. White bird, thinks of the aspen tree,
with its dieing leaves turning gold
but the white bird, just sits in her cage,
growing old
chorus
Bridge: Cm, Bb, Ab, G, C Ab
Sunsets come, sunsets go,
the clouds go by, and the earth turns slow,
a young bird's eye will always glow,
and she must fly,
she must fly
she must fly.
4. White bird, in a golden cage,
on a winter's day, in the rain.
White bird, in a golden cage,
alone
F Eb (repeat)
end with F Ab

Tom Penfield
