Originally, I said I heard the beginning of the song on the radio while
scanning, and couldn't find it again. It turns out I heard the beginning of
a Nokia commercial. Today I heard the whole commercial, and here are the
first few lines:
Bells will be ring-ing
Christmas is he-ere
Bells will be ring-ing
All through the yea-ear
and then it quits. If anyone could help me find the song, I'd appreciate
it. It's a great, soft melody that I'm looking forward to singing to my
4-year-old daughter.
Curiosty killed the cat, but I was a prime suspect.
Sorry Ken, I hate to rain on your parade, but the song you refer to is
actually "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" by John Lennon. See:

Alas, this song has no mention of bells in it that Sal was looking for.
The search continues.

Ken
One of my favorites............by Jon Bon Jovi
Please Come Home For Christmas
Bells will be ringing the glad, glad news
Oh what a Christmas to have the blues
My baby's gone (my baby's gone) I have no friends
To wish me greetings once again
Choirs will be singing Silent Night
Those Christmas carols by candlelight
Please come home for Christmas (please come home)
Please come home for Christmas (please come home)
If not for Christmas by New Year's night
Friends and relations send salutations
Just as sure as the stars shine above (yes they do)
This is Christmas, Christmas my dear
The time of year to be with the one that you love
Then won't you tell me, you'll never more roam
Christmas and New Year (Christmas and New Year's)
Will find you at home
There'll be no more sorrow, no grief or pain
I'll be happy (happy) that it's Christmas once again.
