Sure....here's a couple.

"Creep"-Radiohead("Alternative")(Slow-Medium)
"Black"-Pearl Jam(alternative)(Slow)
"Something I can never have"-Nine Inch Nails(Industrial)(Slow)
"Comfortably Numb"-Pink Floyd(classic rock)(Slow)
"Killing in the name of"-Rage Against the Machine(hard
rock??????)(hard-fast...kick ass!)

But you're talking rap catergories....I guess the only two rap songs I
could define as classic would be....

"Gangsta's Paradise"-Coolio(rap)(slow-medium?)
"Today was a good day"-Ice Cube(rap)(medium I guess)

won't attempt to rank, but don't leave out "Nights in White Satin" Moody
Blues. Might as well add "Question of Balance" as well....(same group)
classics worthy of the name, that's for sure..

Well, here goes:
1) Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive, Disco-type thing!, FAST
2) Paul Stanley - Take Me Away (Together Is One), Rock, SLOW/MEDIUM
3) Asia - Don't Call Me, Rock, MEDIUM
4) Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is, Depressing Rock (?), SLOW
5) Yngwie Malmsteen - Dragonfly, Sheer Guitar Brilliance (rock?), FAST
6) George Benson - Gimme The Night, Funky little number!?, MEDIUM
7) Mr Mister - Broken Wings, slow rock (?), SLOW/MEDIUM
8) The Gap Band - Burn Rubber (Why You Wanna Hurt Me) - Funky 70's, FAST
9) Metallica - Nothing Else Matters, slowish rock/metal/??, SLOW/MEDIUM
10) RUN DMC (feat. Aerosmith) - Walk This Way

There are so many songs that can be catagorised as "classics" such as The
Eagles - Hotel California; Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody; Survivor - Eye of the
Tiger, that is makes it very difficult to choose 5 hence the reason I've
plastered this page with 10 and there are heaps more I could think of.

Anyway,
Enough of my blabbering on..!
Regards,
Anna

In my opinion,, slow jams stand the test of time much better than fast
songs. That said, here's my list... (sorry, I couldn't limit it to 5!)

1. It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday - Boyz II Men
2. The Beautiful Ones -- Prince
3. Why You Treat Me So Bad -- Club Nouveau
4. If I Ever Fall In Love -- Shai
5. Ooh This Love Is So -- Al B. Sure!
6. The Secret Garden -- Quincy Jones, Barry White, James Ingram, et al
7. One Last Cry -- Brian Mcknight
8. End Of The Road -- Boyz II Men
9. Nobody Knows - Tony Rich Project
10. Before You Walk Out My Life -- Monica
11. Breathe Again -- Toni Braxton
12. Love You Down -- Ready For The World
13. Before I Let You Go -- Blackstreet

Come to think of it, I could almost make a new top ten list with some of
the songs I listed here (#1,4,7,8,9,10,11,13) under the category of SONGS
YOU HAD AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEFORE POPULAR RADIO GOT A HOLD OF THEM
AND PLAYED THEM OUT SO MUCH IT RUINED THE SONGS FOR YOU...
(don't you hate that!)
