Here they are:

THE MTA SONG (the man who never returned)

Now let me tell you a story about a man named Charlie,
on this fateful and tragic day.
He put ten cents in his pocket, kissed his wife and children,
went to ride on the MTA
CHORUS:
But did he ever return, no he never returned
And his fate is still unknown
He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston
He's the man who never returned.

Charlie handed in his dime at the Kendall Square Station
And he changed for Jamaica Plains
When he got there the conductor told him one more nickle
Charlie couldn't get off that train. CHORUS

Now all night long Charlie rides through the tunnel
Saying "What will become of me?
How can I afford to see my sister in Chelsea
Or my cousin in Roxbury?" CHORUS

Charlie's wife goes down to the Scollay Square Station
Every day at a quarter past two
And thru the open window she hands Charlie a sandwich
As the train comes rumblin' through CHORUS

Now you citizens of Boston, don't you think it is a scandal
How the people have to pay and pay?
Fight the fare increase, vote for Walter O'Brien
And get Charlie off the MTA CHORUS

Music is a celebration of the human condition. Without it we are lost

Here is the corrections/varitions (in CAPITALS) that I have used:

THE MTA SONG (the man who never returned)

Now let me tell you a story about a man named Charlie,

on this TRAGIC and FATEFUL day.
He put ten cents in his pocket, kissed his wife and FAMILY
AND went to ride on the MTA

CHORUS:
DID he ever return, no he never returned
And his fate is still UNLEARNED

He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston
He's the man who never returned.

Charlie handed in A dime at the SCOLLAY Square Station

And he changed for Jamaica Plains
When he got there the conductor told him one more nickle
Charlie couldn't get off that train. CHORUS

Now all night long Charlie rides through the tunnel
Saying "What will become of me?
How can I afford to see my sister in Chelsea

Or my BROTHER in Roxbury?" CHORUS

Charlie's wife goes down to the Scollay Square Station
Every day at a quarter past two

And thru the TRAIN window she hands HIM a sandwich
As the train comes rumblin' ON through CHORUS

Now you citizens of Boston, don't you think THAT IT'S a scandal
THAT the people have to pay and pay?
Fight the fare increase, vote for GEORGE O'Brien

And get Charlie off the MTA CHORUS
