there's an older song, perhaps from the 70's, kinda rock-a-billy,
named "Rock-n-Roll Heart". Sang by a man whose name I don't know.
Great song...
I get off on a '57 chevy
I get off on a screamin' guitar
Like the way it gets me
Everytime it hits me
I've gotta rock-n-roll
I've got a rock-n-roll heart

Much as I hate to risk reviving it, there's "Chevy Van" by Sammy Johns

And "Uneasy Rider" by Charlie Daniels

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry...

She woke up and took me by the hand
We made love in my Chevy van...

Out in the backroads where the woods got heavy
Out in the backseat of my '60 Chevy...

Only one that comes to mind right now is American Pie by Don McLean:

Well, if you'll allow "Chevrolet" also, here's a few:

"American Pie" by Don McLean

"Keeping the Faith" by Billy Joel
"When You Close Your Eyes" by Night Ranger (BLETCH!)
"Night Moves" by Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band

The Beach Boys have lots of references to various cars
in their lyrics: "Little Deuce Coupe" and "Fun, Fun, Fun" come
to mind. You might want to check through one of their lyrics
archives.

...and it seems a foregone conclusion that Bruce Springsteen
referred to Chevrolets somewhere in his "ouvre"... maybe
in "Born To Run" where the lyrics describe "riding through
mansions of glory in suicide machines"? :-)

I donm't know if the word "chevy" or "Chevrolet" is used in the song, but
there's always Bitchen Camaro. I forget at the moment who the artist is but I
thing the name starts with "Dead" (ie Milkmen, Kennedies, or something)

We would head for the nearest canal

But beer and Doritos

Was not my idea of romance.

I just remembered another one: "Rapid Roy The Stock Car Boy" by Jim Croce.

Rapid Roy that stock car boy, he's too much to believe
You know he always got an extra pack of cigarettes
Rolled up in his t-shirt sleeve
He got a tattoo on his arm that say "Baby"
He got another one that just say "Hey"
And every Sunday afternoon he is a dirt track demon
In his '67 Chevrolet

Not sure of any more "chevy" references, but there is one "ford"
reference I remember:

"Wayne handcuffed to the bumper of a state trooper's Ford"

What about Dodge references?

"Barefoot girl sittin' on the hood of a Dodge" from "Jungle Land"

not to mention "Hemi-powered drones".

I'm getting old now; do cars still mean what they used to to the 16-to-24
crowd? I can't seem to work up much passion for the Yugos and Escorts on the
road. Of course we DID have Pacers. :)
