Lyrics for any lullabies.
In particular, a lullaby sung by Bette Midler (sorry, can't remember
the title).
Help gratefully received
many thanks.

And so the word went out from c...@netcomuk.co.uk (Tigger):

If this is the one you mean, "Baby Mine", then here you go:

Baby mine don't you cry
Baby mine dry your eyes
Rest your head close to my heart
Never to part baby of mine

Little one when you play
Pay no heed what they say
Let your eyes sparkle and shine
Never a tear baby of mine

If they knew all about you
They'd end up loving you too
All those same people who scold you
What they'd give just for the right to hold you

From your head down to your toes
You're not much goodness knows
But you're so precious to me
Sweet as can be baby of mine

Hope it helps!

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it's from the
movie "For The Boys", although it was cut from the final version. So
how do I know about it? Michael Feinstein is wonderful about telling
the history of the songs he does. It's on his "Forever" album, but I
figure that if it's from Bette's movie, she must have recorded it.
Mu girls love this song. If you need help with the melody, let me know
and I'll see what I can do. Enjoy.
Nancy :-)

I'll Be There

I'll be there for you whenever
The world seems far too wide
Though you may not always see me
I'm right there by your side
When you're frightened and pull up the covers
Though it's only a creaky stair
When the rainbows fade
Don't you be afraid
For I promise you I'll be there

When the shadows come and moonlight
Paints pictures on the wall
And you're feeling lost and lonely
Like no one cares at all
When you can't chase the demons inside you
And it's more than a soul can bear
You should never fear
They will disappear
Look around you and I'll be there

There'll be times when friends forsake you
And life may let you down
And those moments leave you feeling
Like the circus just left town
You just tell me if anything hurts you
I'll make it alright, I swear
Sure as rainbows bend
My forever friend
I can promise you I'll be there

A kiss and a smile
Then dream for a while
You'll wake up and I'll be there

I hope you still want these, they are my personal,
hope all is correct.
Dreamship - Lullabies For Little Ones

Even The Sun Is Sleeping Song #1
The Sky is dark it's time to rest.
The Birds are quiet in their nest.
Close your eyes my little one.
Even the sun is sleeping, even the sun is sleeping.

After evening shadows fall.
There's a blanket over all.
The wind whispers to everyone.
Even the sun is sleeping, even the sun is sleeping.

So sleep till the morning light.
Sleep till the sky is bright.
I'll be close all through the night.
While your sweetly dreaming.

Little flowers in their beds.
Close their pedals, bow their heads.
All tucked in the day is done.
Even the sun is sleeping, even the sun is sleeping.

Little flowers in their beds.
Close their pedals, bow their heads.
All tucked in the day is done.
Even the sun is sleeping, even the sun is sleeping.

Before You Grow (For Cassidy) Song #2
How do you like the world so far?
Where did you get that smile?
I know that you've got a lot to do, but won't you sit with me awhile?
Time is on your side, so why don't you go slow?
'Cause I'd like to get to know you, before you grow.

Would you believe I was once your age, not so long ago.
Funny how gray hair start to show, at least that's what I'm told.
I look at you and wonder, where, oh where does the time go?
And I'd like to get to know you, before you grow.

Chorus:
Do you believe in magic?
Do you believe that dreams come true?
Do you believe in fairy tales?
Would you believe, that I do too?

Life is a brand new world each day, I'd like to share with you.
I know that we could be best of friends, don't you think so too?
Let me tell you one more time before you have to go.
That I'd like to get to know you, before you grow.

Chorus:
Do you believe in magic?
Do you believe that dreams come true?
Do you believe in fairy tales?
Would you believe, that I do too?

Well life is a brand world each day, I'd love to share with you.
I know that we could be best of friends, don't you think so too?
Let me tell you one more time before you have to go.
That I'd like to get to know you, before you grow.
Yes, I'd like to get to know you, before you grow.

Goodnight Moon - Song #3
Grandfather clock, at the end of the hall.
Is quietly chiming, his sleepy time call.
Stories are read.
Prayers are all said.
And puppies asleep, at the foot of your bed.

And outside your window, there's old Mr. Moon.
He sent down a moon beam, to lighten your room.
Your tucked in tight.
Dreamland's in sight.
So lets take a moment, to say our goodnights.

Goodnight grandfather clock,
we'll both be sleeping soon.
And goodnight puppies so tired.
Goodnight moon.

Goodnight grandfather clock,
we'll both be sleeping soon.
And goodnight puppies so tired.
Goodnight moon.

Goodnight puppies so tired.
And goodnight moon.

Dreamship - Song #4
Evenings upon us, my little one.
Climb into my arms, and we'll rock awhile.
Let me hold you close to me, and we can make believe,
we're gently rocking back and forth, upon the sea.

Chorus:
And we'll go sailing away on a Dreamship, into a starry night.
And the man in the moon will guide us, with his golden light.
We'll raise the sails, and ride the waves,
we've all night long to spend.
Sailing away on a Dreamship, until it's morning time again.

(Aaron Neville)
Seagulls and dolphins must fill the blue.
We'll dance in the moon light, for me and you.
We've got the stars up in the sky, and sing a sailors lullaby.
So come and rest your sleepy head, and close your eyes.

Chorus: (Both, Kathie Lee and Aaron Neville)
And we'll go sailing away on a Dreamship, into a starry night.
And the man in the moon will guide us, with his golden light.
We'll raise the sails, and ride the waves,
we've all night long to spend.
Sailing away on a Dreamship, until it's morning time again.

We'll raise the sails, and ride the waves,
we've all night long to spend.
Sailing away on a Dreamship, until it's morning time again.

(Aaron)
Until it's morning time again.

Sailing away on a Dreamship.

(Kathie Lee)
Until it's morning time again.

Rockabye Rain - Song #5
Tiny drops are falling; down, down, down.
Tapping on my window pane.
Dancing on the roof top; round, round round.
Gently serenading: Rockabye Rain.

A symphony, for my little sleepy head.
Who could have thought, three things:
A melody, as soft as a feather bed,
keeps playing, again and again.

Tiny drops are falling; down, down, down.
Tapping on my window pane.
Dancing on the roof top; round, round, round.
Gently serenading: Rockabye Rain.

Maybe, somewhere bunnies and butterflies,
are hiding 'neath, the trees.
Listening, to God's little lullaby,
playing so soft and sweet.

Tiny drops are falling; down, down, down.
Tapping on my window pane.
Dancing on the roof top; round, round, round.
Gently serenading: Rockabye Rain.

Dancing on the roof top; round, round, round.
Gently serenading: Rockabye Rain.

Woodland Lullabye - Song #6
Warm and snuggle, comfy, cozy,
little sleepy head.
Precious when your not the only,
one who's tucked in bed.
When you hear the crickets calling,
babies one by one are falling.
Off to sleep, without a peep,
beneath the forest sky.
Bunnies dressed in furry gowns, and,
spotted fawns all nestled down.

Just like you, they're listening to,
a Woodland Lullabye.

Warm and snug, in dens and burrows,
little forest friends.
Tucked in tight until tomorrow,
maybe dream of them.
When you hear the evening breezes,
whisper softly through the trees.
The night is calling for little ones,
it's time to close your eyes.
Baby bears beneath the stars,
are cradled in their mammas arms.

Just like you, they're listening to,
a Woodland Lullabye.

Just like you, they're listening to,
a Woodland Lullabye.

You Are Safe With Me - Song #7
You are safe with me.
I will hold you tight.
Close your eyes and sleep,
little baby of mine.

You are safe with me.
I'll take care of you.
So rest easily,
the whole night through.

If your afraid and you need to find me,
if you feel lonely in the dark,
I'll be right here to comfort, and protect you.
You are the treasure of my heart.

If your afraid and you need to find me,
if you feel lonely in the dark,
I'll be right here to comfort, and protect you.
You are the treasure of my heart.

You are safe - (you are safe)
with me. - (with me)
I will hold you - (I will hold you)
tight. - ( hold you tight)
Close your eyes and sleep. - (close your eyes)
And sleep. - (and sleep)
Little baby of mine.

Cody's Song - Song #8
When you feel afraid.
When you lose your way, I'll find you.
Just try to smile, and dry your eyes.
I will bring back the moon into your skies.

Whenever you will, remember darling,
I'll be there to sing to you.
I promise you, I promise to, comfort you, and sing to you.
Darling I'll be there just for you.

There's so much to learn, and when you want me,
then, I'll show you.
And through the years you'll always be,
the lullaby, in the heart, of the child in me.

Whenever you will, remember darling,
I'll be there to sing to you.
I promise you, I promise to, comfort you, and sing to you.
Darling I'll be there just for you.

Hold it, feel it, music is in your heart.
And when you, need it, just keep listening.
Let it sing, let it sing.

Though you'll grow away,
no matter how you change, I'll know you.
And when you tire of life alone,
there will always be one sure way back home;
You just turn on the quiet, and you close your eyes,
and you listen inside.

One condition now, one condition now…
I'll be there to sing to you.
I promise you, I promise to, comfort you, and sing to you.
Darling I'll be there, anytime, and anywhere.
And darling I'll be there, just for, you.

God Bless All The Little Children - Song #9
God Bless all the little children.
Keep them in your shelter, wrap them in your love.
God Bless all the little children.
Guide them in your wisdom, watch them from above.
Let your life shine in their hearts.
Let them know, how precious they are.
God Bless all the little children, in the world.

God Bless all the little children.
Guard their tender hearts, and fill them with your peace.
Let their days be filled with gladness.
Show them all the beauty, only you can bring.
When their sky is dark and gray,
give them light, and brighten their way.
God Bless all the little children, in the world.

(Children Sing:)
God Bless all the little children.
Keep them in your shelter, wrap them in your love.
God Bless all the little children.
Guide them in your wisdom, watch them from above.
Let your life shine in their hearts.
Let them know, how precious they are.
God Bless all the little children, in the world.

Please God, Bless all the little children, in the world.

I'll Be Here With You - Song #10
Goodnight, don't be afraid, sleep tight in my arms.
I swear, you'll be O.K., I'll keep you from harm.

'Cause I love you, and I always will.
And you know I'm going to be true.
And whenever you need me,
I'll be here with you.

Sometimes, life will be hard. Some days you'll feel bad.
But baby I'll be on my guard, so try not to be sad.
'Cause I promised, to stay by your side,
and now that's what I'm going to do.
When the others have gone away,
I'll be here with you.

I'll be here, when the nights grow cold.
I'll be here, when the skies are blue.
I'll be here, as we both grow older, here with you.

So goodnight, don't be afraid, sleep safe in my arms.
Baby, you'll be O.K., I'll keep you from harm.

And tomorrow, if trouble should come.
You can count on me to come through.
Because now and for always,
I'll be here with you.

Come rain or come shine.
Through thick and through thin.
For all of your life,
I'll be here with you.

So goodnight, don't be afraid.
Goodnight little one.

I am so happy that I found your post. I could only remember the lyrics, but not the artist or album. It was almost impossible to find the song, but I found it in #4, Dreamship. Yay!
