I'm looking for the lyrics (and chord structures) of the Gin Blossom's

song "Hey Jealousy"

Could someone email them to me?

Thanks

This is as much as I can remember off the top of my head. Get the CD or tape - they're printed in the liner notes.

Do you think it would be all right
If I could just crash here tonight
You see I'm in no shape for drivin
And anyway I got noplace to go

And you know it might not be that bad
You were the best I've ever had
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago
I might not be alone

Tomorrow we can drive around this town
Let the cops chase us around
The past is gone but something might be found
To take its place

Hey jealousy
Hey jealousy
Hey jealousy
Hey jealousy

Hey Jealousy - Gin Blossoms
---------------------------
D E
Tell me, do you think it'd be alright
F#m E

If I could just crash here tonight

Can't you see I'm in no shape for driving
Anyway I've got no place to go

And you know it might not be that bad
You were the best I've ever had
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago
I might not be alone

A D

Tomorrow we can drive around this town

A D

Let the cops chase us around

F#m E D
The past is gone but something might be found to take it's place

D E
Hey jealousy
F#m E

Hey jealousy
Hey jealousy
Hey jealousy

You can trust me not to think
And not to sleep around
And if you don't expect too much from me
You might not be let down
Cause all I really want is to be with you
And feel like I matter too

If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago

I might be here with you

------------------------------------------------------------------
Just juggle the bits around for the extra choruses 'n' stuff!

The riff at the start goes

E----------------------------------
B----------------------------------
G--------------7---9---11--9-------
D--------------7---9---11--9-------
A--------------5---7---9---7-------
E-----7-9-7-0----------------------

The chords are there, but may not be in the right order, although I think they
are. This is from memory! Just use open chords for E, A and D, especially if you
are playing it on your own.

Cheers,
Craig

These are the lyrics straight from the liner notes:

tell me do you think it'd be alright
if I could just crash here tonight
you can see I'm in no shape for driving
and anyway I've got no place to go

and you know it might not be that bad
you were the best I'd ever had
if I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago

I might not be alone

tomorrow we can drive around this town
and let the cops chase us around
the past is gone but something might be found
to take its place... hey jealousy

and you can trust me not to think
and not to sleep around

if you don't expect too much from me

you might not be let down

cause all I really want is to be with you
feeling like I matter too
if I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago
I might be here with you

tomorrow we can drive around etc.

lyrics by D. Hopkins

Hope this helps!
