Who is it? "The Lady Wants to Know" - Female artist

Hello,

I was listening to our lounge station in south Florida, and I heard a song
which turns out to be called "The Lady Wants to Know" (via a web search).
It's by a female artist, and the voice is oh-so-familiar, but I can't place
it. I did a search and found a Laura Fygi (from Holland, I guess)...but I
don't think she has any albums in the US.

Any idea who this was? The radio station is automated a lot of the time, so
DJs are scarce.

According to www.allmusic.com
only 2 female artists have recorded that song
Laura Fygi, as you mensioned, i '94 and Jonnie Pallatto in '97
