I think it was called "Sail Away" but that could be wrong. It sounded a lot
like the Doobie's "What a Fool Believes" since it had the same piano sound.

The chorus went (I think)
"Why don't we sail away?/Why don't we sail away/Into the Night/I know it ain't
right"

And the bridge went something like this: "I caught you glancing my way/And I
know what you're after"

I'd be much obliged to anybody who could tell me the name of this song and who
sang it. Thanks.

"Steal Away" by Robbie Dupree, 1980

Steal Away
( Robbie DuPree )

C'mon and hold me, just like you told me
Then show me what I want to know

Why don't we steal away?
Why don't we steal away into the night?

I know it ain't right

Tease me, why don't you please me?
Then show me what you came here for

Why don't we steal away?
Why don't we steal away into the night?

I know it ain't right

Into the night, baby
Baby tonight, make it tonight

[break]

I caught you glancing my way

And I know what you're after

( no second chances tonight )

Why don't we steal away?
Why don't we steal away?
Why don't we steal away?
Why don't we steal away into the night?

I know it ain't right

Make it tonight

It's "Steal Away", and it was either by the Doobies or Michael McDonald
(Doobie Brothers lead singer).
