Hello!

Being in Great Britain I have heard funny "pub" song.
The beginning was something like
"On the hill there was a lady
Who she was I do not know..."
...
...
"Oh, no, John, no, John, no, Jonh, no!!!"

Please, post the full text. Thank you!

The song is not exactly a "pub song"; it is an English folk song, probably
compiled by Cecil Sharp (though I can't be sure). The correct title is "Oh No
John".

It starts:

"On yonder hill there stands a lady,
Who she is I do not know,
I'll go and court her for her beauty....."

I don't know all the lyrics though!
