Does anyone have any info on what has become
of Dave Dee,Dozy,Mick & tich(?) They were a Pop Group
in the 60's (in the UK). One of the songs I think was Xanadu but I
have tried the Lyrics web page but no mention is made there.

Hey!!

What about BEAKY???

It was Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick, and Titch.
And I can't BELIEVE I still remember those names.

Mercifully, I seem to have forgotten their music. All
I could find on the Web is that one song they did was
called "Legend of Xanadu" and one was called "Hold Tight."

This band gave rise to the famous pub quiz question "How many members were
there in Dave Dee Dozy beaky Mick & Tich?"
Spot guys counting the names on their fingers and all get the wrong
answer!!!!

Dave Dee left the group in May 1969. See the following page to find out what
happened to the rest of them:

If you search for "Xanadu" you'll probably either come up with a film or
ELO's "Xanadu" from that same film!

The song is actually called "Legend of Xanadu". I think they've faded
into obscurity...

Don't know what they do now, but few years ago I saw Dave Dee live in
one of these Oldie-Shows where most of the 60's artists play their
more or less forgotten hits. He did a solo performance (the music came
from tapes). The last thing I remember about Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich
is that they did a record somewhen in the 80's. It was a cover of
Manfred Mann's "DooWah Diddy Diddy".

And if you are looking for the lyrics of their famous songs go to my
lyrics page (see blow).
