Ok......The lyrics are definatly "My futures so bright that I gotta wear
shades.."
I know that the song is by Dire Straits but I can't for the life of me remember
the name of the song.

The song is actually by Timbuk 3. A top 20 hit.

I have only a compilation, but you should be able to find it at a well
stocked store.

'My Future's So Bright, I've Gotta Wear Shades'

Timbuk 3 - from the album "Greeti8ngs from Timbuk 3", (1986 I.R.S.)

Keep in mind, one of the better lines is "fifty thou a year will buy
a lot of beer"...

The song is by Timbuk3 off of the album "Greetings from Timbuk3". Im not sure
of the title either, but I believe it is the whole chorus line "The Future's So
Bright (I Gotta Wear Shades)"
