I never even considered that it was anything =other= than "nursing".
This is not a guarentee, of course, just that it seemed quite plain
to me.

I just listened to it off of the "Television's Greatest Hits" CD.
It's very clearly "nursing". It's also singular, i.e.

No more rehearsing or nursing a part
We know every part by heart...
